For gold.

Gold and silver will do very well over the next decade, industry and commodities is where I think most of the inflation will end up, which is why wages will struggle. Anything consumer related will struggle.

That's capitalism for yer

Strikes me as gambling against a manipulated system rather than true capitalism. A proper free market shouldn't allow for the kind of situation we're in now including using other people's money to buy and sell rapidly. But then I don't dabble so only see it as an outsider. It's easy to make grandiose statements on the internet thinking it's all very gauche when I'm not experienced in the subject.

Shiny stuff pulled from the earth and refined to be even more awesome, that I can dig 😋

Very true. The world has never really seem true capitalism or true socialism.  All we get is this manipulated fudge in the middle.

Price of spot has fallen and also GBP/USD has increased. For those wanting to buy it's a great combination. It's just a shame about the premiums.

You can get gold at 3-4 percent premium. Hardly terrible premiums...

Gold falling quickly today, any thoughts?

I have shorted gold. Could go low as $1000 (at some point) but at present looking first at mid 1600. Then once it has finished going down there is a good chance of all time highs later on. Just my opinion.

Good question!

It was only this morning that a Bloomberg TV news headline was that gold had had its best month for about seven years!  This afternoon gold has fallen about £40 an ounce.

As we are at the end of the month, it may be profit taking by some investors.

Bank of America said it was going to go up 😉

Oh, and where did you come up with 1100 dollar figure.

Just curious if you have any reasoning.

I personally think we could see a drop if stocks fall big again. Its what happened last time.

No, he would never admit he is wrong about his $400 prediction.

$400, give it time... :D

I reckon we see $1350 again before this thing turns around, no lower than that and it won't be straight down. 12 months to 18 months from now we should all have much more gold and silver ready for the inflation driven moonshot of the 2020's.

Do you think that will happen? Why now rather than at any time in the last 20 years. Don’t get me wrong I would love to see it.

He was being exuberant / sarcastic I think? Unless they reset fiat, gold is never going to be 400 in £ nor $ even.
