Couldn't put this on the ebay thread as it looks like this chap has plenty of satisfied customers, it can be tricky wording item descriptions to get them just right, but i think this guy has got the balance just right, with what could be an implied threat to put off any trouble causer's. I'm going to play this one cool and snipe it right at the end.

"if your after authentic stuff your looking at the wrong thing, although it looks the real m`coy it`s not"

What a roundabout way of saying, "It's fake, but I didn't tell ya, alright gov'nor"

There has been an individual selling fake Silver from the Blackpool/Lytham St Anne's area for quite sometime.

As soon as he or she gets some negative feedback the account is closed down and another one is set up.

I have reported this kind of thing to ebay in the past but they are not interested.

Thanks Friedrich, as a bargain hunter I'm always on the watch for information like that, I don't think this guy is in that kind of league though. Anybody who uses ebay for silver will no doubt be used to the ambiguity and sometimes outright deceitfulness of some bullion listings,  frankly plate and layered should be kicked out of the bullion section as soon as they are listed. This one caught my attention more as a piece of creative writing, he uses so many words but commits to so little.

Ooops, if even a third of the people viewing this thread go on to view the item his traffic will be right up, might just encourage him to put a few more up!

Has anyone here bought any of these fakes? Interested to know if the the specific gravity of the core material has been balanced to silver. Alibaba/AliExpress list dozens of these bars and coins, some at under a pound a piece in quantity and for the most part they look pretty convincing. They mostly declare that they have a brass core which I would have thought would be a little light.

Never knowingly redrug, and any eBay purchases get a thorough vetting, then again the best fake is the one you don't know you have, boy, thoughts like that are the stuff of stacker nightmares!

The bar is stamped wrong also. I have these bars in several sizes none are stamped with silver eagle in the circle logo it should be sunshine minting instead.

Its only the newer bars that are stamped Sunshine Minting ... the ones with the security disk

The older bars have different stampings including Silver Eagle and Sunshine Silver

The bars in the OP link are wrong because they are almost square corners and should be a large radius .. the font is wrong and the pattern on the back is a different size
