Its a novel idea, but a bummer if your kids loose one of the pieces :lol:

Anybody bought one of those 1oz jigsaw coins?

 

TBH they look like really poor quality to me. I had a good stare at the pictures. I would have expected them to be laser or at least water jet cut - but no, it looks like they were done with a very small band saw, and the finish is terrible!

it does say on the ad that:

"Each one of these coins is cut by hand with a blade half

Impressive as that may be, the finish is still terrible! They should use a water jet cutter, would do a much better job! Or at least smooth out the rough edges!

I think they are a novelty for the specialist puzzle collector rather than the coin collector. Although I dare say some will like it. I quite like the idea, but not keen on the execution!
