Cheapest place to buy Gold online

Hey Guys,

I started out on my precious metals journey with a keen inerested in Silver.

I have spent the last 3 years investing, learning and researching the best places to buy silver online.

I am quite happy with the silver source that I use and I am pretty convinced that I am getting the best deals available to me.

Being based in Ireland there are a limited number of sources for silver, however there are quite a few for gold and the prices aint bad.

What I wanted to know is your experience, where in the UK / Europe has the lowest gold prices. Id be looking at smaller bars 5g/10g etc.

With no VAT and no delivery in most places, the prices seem to be much more competative online.

Anyway I look forward to reading your replies,

Thanks in advance,

arshimo2012 is a good source of well priced gold, it regularly gets snapped up when he posts it.

He's also got the habit of posting stuff I'm after, at the very same time I have a severe lack of spare cash...... :D

I WILL buy off him one day.....................................!

I can completely empathise, he had a load of full/half sovereigns up recently and I was unable to do anything about it :(

I think HGM are the best generally, they sell stuff with numismatic value quite regularly for just 3% over spot

One example is I got a double 1887 sovereign from them for £375, same coins sell for over £500 on Ebay, and up to £900 if it's in very good condition

Can be a bit of pot luck what they send you though and you have to check the HGM site regularly.

Very much this, in terms of stock they can be a bit hit and miss but like you say it comes down to regularly checking.

You can ring them, all though I don't know why they can't just accurately list items on their site; people say "oh it takes them time to list things then, they just want to get things out quickly blah blah" but it takes them time when they have people calling them on the phone too.

I rang when I saw they had two double sovs up and they told me one was 1887 and the other I can't remember, 2007 something like that.

I actually like the fact that they don't accurately describe the coins. More chance of picking up a bargain that way. :D

I can only imagine the feeling if you bought a double sovereign and you get sent a modern gold £2 coin.

I like things being laid out properly, like Atkinsons, you either pick what kind of sov on offer or you get one knowing it's a lucky dip.
