cheers m8 good to find a more at home forum

right iv no idea what to go for, not sure to be honest

id love to buy some gold for my first purchase but silver seems to be a bit more easy on the pocket, and palladium sounds a cool name.

my idea in mind is to purchase monthly as iv got minimum outgoings, just got a new job that pays decent and its more an investment for when i kick the bucket ill have something to leave my son.

saying that once i get the bug and purchase regular ill prob end up trying to see if i can make a bit of cash

any suggestions what a good first purchase would be

Blimey, where do I start?

If you decide to stack, then buy whatever you can at the cheapest price. Simple as that really.

If you plan to do a bit of "stacklecting" (patented) then my personal favourites are pretty much anything from the Perth Mint (lunars, kookaburras etc). I also have big love for the Britannias.

I'm only into silver though, so if you decide on gold then don't listen to a word I say [emoji1]

Don't go over to the Silver "Dark Side". vader.gif

If you want to come into the light yoda.gif and pick up some gold, you can't go wrong with buying a good old fashioned British Gold Sovereign.

Buyin a little every mth is how I do it and soon mounts up. It's like Pringles once u pop u can't stop lol. I do like bars, I've had a few bargins on eBay mostly old style johnson matthey 1's my rational being they r less likely to b fake.

Is it a good investment? I believe so. Demand out weighs supply ATM and a lot of it goes into electronical equipment which is then wasted gone forever. I'm no expert but surely with a commodity that is so widly used at such a cheap price ATM the value has gotta go up at some point. And if it doesn't its still got intrinsic value.

post a pic of ur first purchase b good to see wot u go for.

ooft i am really stuck on what metal to buy and whither it be coin or bar,im sort of leaning towards a small bar, gonnae invest so when i kick the bucket my son will have a wee windfall, gonnae buy summit each month m8 and build it up, but i do admit some coins are real beauties,is silver a good investment as i said im a 100% complete newbie to this game m8

As i said mate, im completely new to this myself, when i joined i had an idea that i wanted silver for the silver value and was not interested ( as i know nothing about) the numismatic coin value.

So like you, i didnt know what to go for.

However with the help members on this forum i was able to get a better idea of what way was the best for me.

My main reason for getting into PM's was two fold.

1) A hedge against the devaluation of the fiat currency.

2) If its not needed in my lifetime, at least my kids will have something.

So for me ive decided to go for the cheaper silver coins and will get a 'nice ' one here and there.

I hope its of some help to you mate, because i think i know exactly what you are saying as its a similar situation to mine.

Enjoy the forum
