I felt good about a pullback in metals too when we hit the previous all time high, now again at these new high, which makes me think we ain't getting it kman. :D

Gold doubled in 5 years of which up 40 percent in the last 12 months, seems too much too fast. But then USD is being printed and given out to people as if it was free and interest rates are destroying any monetary capacity of the dollar, these conditions favour gold seemingly at any price...

I have this strange feeling it's going to shoot it's self in the foot and drop so quickly at some point! I expect it'll peter out then drop, then stabilise for a little while until it makes a move again.

Looks like it's being seriously overbought at the moment.

But it did that at $24...dropped back, took a breather then took off again, while the dollars in freefall it cant stop rising.

@DarkChameleon yeah your right, I do expect a similar thing again.

I'm not in a rush. I was in this for the long run and this mess is going to be with us for some time yet.

It wouldn't surprise me to see silver touch near 3 figures some time down the line.

I have to remind myself im one half collector and one half stasher and one half trader...yes i know...but sometimes i get caught out between them, trading is ok, stacking has to sell wgen high and collector has to hold for the kids...hope others are only one of the collectors or stashers...cos its aweful talking returns to collectors who just want low prices and stasherswho want massive fluctuations to make money off.

Looking at the charts 2010-2011

$18 to $50

Only took 8 months from August to April.

It looked dam near parabolic but with a small pullback half way up, looks like $30 was the psychological stopper at least for a while. Same again this time?

How long until US election? March $18 until November $50?

Maybe trumps threat to ignore the results might spook a lot of people, also the thing with the usmail and mail in votes, would republicans dare to steal a third election after bush and trump?...maybe trump will have to build a wall around the white house and our metals will be $50 but how mu h for a ticket out of america when nobosy will let us in.....irony much..lol.

Do you think the election result might crash the metal prices? I mean let's say Daves prediction is right time wise. Could it hit $50 then come back down to earth due to timing, repeating history.

My own view is I can see silver hitting somewhere between  $65-104.

Not even counting if a vaccine gets found sooner rather than later also, that would also shift the price back down quickly imo.

This is just getting absurd. Its increased from $20 to virtually $30 in the space of 3 weeks. The same similar move took months almost 10 years ago.

And the amoint of time it had hung under $20 with us all buying, and backing the trucks up several times at $14 - $18...quite a few of us have had a great year...irony at its worst.
