Tavex still have some very good deals on. There is no bulk discount buy, but the starting point is slightly cheaper than 499 from Chards. After that Chards is cheaper

Premiums on Silver still bonkers high though. And sadly, silver is down 11.7% over past three months…

100% agree, I'm sure there are others far more in the know on here that can educate me on why premiums are as they are. Is it because product is hard to get and there is huge demand, a la - normal supply/demand economics? Or is it dealers need the higher premiums to cover ever increasing costs?

I learnt fairly quickly not to buy Silver brand new from dealers who have to pass on the VAT for the product. Then I discovered the silver forum and I was enlightened! 😂

The spot price should be taken as only part of the picture with silver bullion, it obviously plays a big part but ultimately the price you pay is a consequence of many factors. At ~£24 a coin even with the VAT the dealers aren't far off the pricing available on the secondary market. That says a lot about the supply/demand/market manipulation/economic situations we operate in as there is usually a bigger gap between dealer prices and the forum trade section. In fairness @LawrenceChard himself advises that silver with added tax isn't usually a good investment option and recommends gold 😁

So he does!

These prices are getting down to the level that you are better buying from @LawrenceChardthan on the forums sale section.  I love silver and buy every month and am enthused by the prices some dealers are currently offering. There being no risk buying from the dealers, some forum sellers seam to be way over the market price. #unpopularopinion

A lot of people have bought in the past at what now are high prices, if you want to sell then you don’t want to be losing money (or at least not a lot). I imagine though that if some on here were to sell particularly sovereigns then they could make a lot due to price when bought.

I agree that may be happening but in reality what does a buyer care what the seller paid.

Very true, however, unless requiring £ for something people won’t sell, great for buying though…

I've tried clicking on the link in a private browser window and adding in the code and it works for me. So there is no embedded part from the email. Maybe check again. But it's working for me

Sorry if this has already been posted. 2022 1oz silver Libertad, including postage and coin capsule, currently £32.99 on silvertrader

I checked the bullion dealers and they were either OOS or more like £40-45

Tavex now at 24.20 Inc vat per Brit. Not too shabby.

For anyone able and wanting to buy 250+ then Sharps Pixley are offering the 2023 1oz Britannia for £23.96p Inc VAT. Their quantity price reductions appear to me to be the most marked from any of the main bullion dealers. So, anyone in a position to buy a 500 monster box might do well to contact them to see if they'd be prepared to shave off a little extra - not least because beneath the price breaks they state: "For larger quantities please call us on 0207 871 0532 to discuss". No harm in asking! Oh, and delivery is free.
