If the dollar price falls below 88.12 support then Silver and Gold will continue making and setting new All Time Highs😎

If the dollar doesn't fall below 88.12 then silver price will get stuck and if dollar goes up then silver and gold will crash 😶

I thought anything with a face value that made it legal currency was VAT exempt?

I believe you're thinking of capital gains tax on profit. The coin has to be recognised as UK currency legally for that to apply mind you (Royal Mint made such as the Britannia). Anything can be VAT eligible should the Communist Cabinet of Once Great Britain decide it so 😉

I believe the reasoning is that sometimes they purchase pre-owned silver from a commercial seller rather than a private individual which is why you will see v.a.t applied to some pre-owned silver.

Possible just odd how all came up at once and not the sort of bar you'd normally see a commercial interest in given the other items been made available seems more likely a private collection too much premium not enough bulk to be commercial

Yes agree it's disappointing.  I have purchased 2nd hand Silver many times from Atkinsons without paying the VAT but it was under a 'special; scheme'.  The dealer needs to register paperwork to gain this VAT exemption. I can only assume if this is missing then VAT is added.
