I guess a lot of thier buyers are not in the loop about the current gold price?
its only been a couple weeks now its lowered.

But they sell food not just gold, so I guess they buy it in at a certain prince
and have a bit of movement outside off the changes we have seen recently.

At the end of the day they can have it sit there for 10 years until it goes back up as its gold & not bread. ;)
Or buy new stock at a lower spot & hold the more expensive stuff?? Im no retail expert, but it makes sense to me.

Bit annoying as I planned to go to Costco this week as my wife has a home cooking business.
Shame its not walmart & in the USA as they sell guns too.
I dont know why but its my dream to have a semi auto, even .22 ;)

Its a bit like the girls that still obsess about Disney & stuff I guess?

Not bad.  I just ordered one £1271 inc postage.

As much stick as they get. They don’t half churn out some good deals sometimes. Some really good ones pop up randomly but are sold out within the hour if not less!

Its still a 3% premium which is the norm eg chards, the price is low as Gold price has fallen

True, but I meant in general. Sometimes they have even lower premiums

might go for scrap and would add some variety to a pile of tired sovereigns maybe?!

its labelled as scrap, but priced at a premium & hefty postage charge.

I would be incredibly wary of it never seen gold tarnish and "rust"like that. Could be the gilt silver version

Did not know there was a gilt version.

It certainly looks odd. I’ve not seen gold go like that either.  I’m also not sure what a mistreated gold proof finish could go like.

I suspect it’s genuine... but it’s eBay so important to be sceptical!

What a shame... my favourite sovereign design.
