Hi guys, been messing about on the internet

Silver is taking a beating at £±10, no doubt in it, the markets aren’t showing it any love. Gold is at £733

What is the price of gold and silver in todays inflated prices

1970 silver price of £±0.71 in todays value £±9.58

1970 gold price of £±14.55 in todays value £±333

in 2000 silver cost £3.23 in todays price that would be £±4.78

in 2000 gold cost £180 in todays price that would be £±269

it would seem as if historically, silvers value has gone down.

Correct me if I’m wrong but i have been using measuringworth com .... Give me your thoughts.

I think I prefer yours to mine, I`v been looking at something similar and have worked out that silvers real price average is about £5.75 roughly.

I took the historic chart, and set a line across it, so all the peaks were roughly enough to fill all the troughs.

that line is About the £5.75 mark.

I think I`ll stop scaring myself and look at your istead :D

silver was $1.63 in 1970, 10 years later the price was 3100% higher.

silver was $4.95 in the year 2000, 11 years later the price was 1000% higher

there will be another bull run at some point, I don't know when but it will happen and we will be ready, I read so many negative opinions on PM's but just look at the past, we're not going to stay at these prices forever.

Fingers crossed then that it's over £100 an oz in 2025......Just in time for my 60th Birthday. Should pay for a cracking birthday party    :D
