the Chinese has the tendency of minting large coins... I hope 1/20, 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 and 1oz do not become 1kg, 500g, 250g, 100g, 50g!

I have been collecting the 5-coin set for the past 2 years, hell no I'm not going to sell my kidney for 2015 set! :P

You can sell one kidney it will be worth it, just don't sell the second...... Unless it's a cracking design!!!!!!

I think it's already been confirmed that the weights will be metric. Be interesting to see if the 1oz becomes 30g or they go for other sizes for example 25g

Yes, this is what I am waiting for.

25/50/100 grams sounds logical. But I think they really have to produce a 30g coin to compete with all the 1 ounce coins out there.

Whatever they do, it is going to really mess with my excell spreadsheet, and my OCD!!! lol

Well, if you know your pandas, you'd recall the first ones weren't even 1oz, they were 27g... And not 999 either. How is your OCD now?

LOL!!

They are way too far back in time, and way too expensive now, for me to ever buy one. What was it, early 80's? They were .900 I believe. I did start on a date run, but I only got as far back as 2010!

If I ever see a bargain and feel well of (Like, yeah! lol) I will get start collecting again. But I am only goig to get them in date order. So the next one I get willbe the 2009, then the '08 etc. This will limit my ability to splurge. Or I'll get the current year coins as they are released. No gaps permitted! OCD Satisfied, on one level at least! lol

Yeah anything before 1990 is either .900 or .925, and very low mintage. Frankly you would have to be super serious to go that far back. Much better to collect current year onwards, maybe backdated to 2000 (nice start point for those with OCD) if your wine-making starts to generate profits :)
