STG listing this new coin for delivery in about 10 days.

Anyone know anything about it ?

Is this how the Mint gets around its "numbers" when a coin is sold out I woneder ?

To buy or not to buy .... that is the question.

I don't get privy marks.

I could be cynical and say that the mint is just doubling up knowing that some collectors will want to add it just because - and so they sell more coins without having to create a new coin!

Originally the mark was to denote something special about the coin - like the mint, who it was minted for, or some other special occasion. These days it just seems like a marketing ploy. I have a Britannia already. Think I might skip this one!

As someone who was thinking of getting some Brits, these are an ideal, lower cost variation.

Additionally, in 10 days I will be able to get enough for discounted prices.

Value stacking.

Currently stacking 1/4 oz (22ct) and Sovs.

...and even when they are shipped to the US and back they are cheaper than buying Brits from Brum.

Indeed. Scary really.

It's often cheaper that way.

The privy edge Brits were a deal between the RM and A-mark in the USA.

I have the britannia privy snake so really happy to see these, great price too, I have a feeling they could be nice little earners on ebay.

You'd think so, but they don't seem to do any better than standard Brits.

Nobody knows about them in the uk in general.

there is currently no limit on 2014 britannias.

it's currently a better buy if you just want a britannia for cgt free, than the regular britannia.

I don't think it'll fetch a premium over the regular britannia in the short term.

I do like edge design coins, and not just reeded. they should do something like print

'1 oz 999 silver' on the edge so as to be out of the way but always available to be

checked.

I will get some of these in the coming few weeks. Just for the sake of it, i do like the brits still but have a real addiction for all things lunar.

You are going down the slippery slope, next stop lunar proofs

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

Just a quick heads up, STG have gone from having 1700 of these to 207 in the space of a few days, they may get more in but if you wanted some it may be worth ordering sooner rather than later, I just got myself 30.

Now sold out, wow they went quick.
