Free Neodymium Metal Testing Magnets

Recommended Posts

I've been in the process of acquiring some junk coins and a few I would like to be able to test properly

using the neodymium magnet method.  I had a look on Ebay and, although pretty cheap, I was hoping I

could find them elsewhere to get hold of a little cheaper.  Turns out following a You tube video I had a

couple not three feet from me in a cupboard of old pc bits!

After ripping an old knackered cd drive(also works with old HD drives apparently) apart I now have two

of these little beauties, no cost and no waiting involved!  Only 6 x 5 x 3 mm each but work perfectly,

sliding nicely off silver coins as they should.  Haven't seen this tip on here any where so figured i'd share,

hope this helps guys!  :)
