Perth Lunar Question

Recommended Posts

I have full set of series 2, 1 oz silver  lunars up to and including Horse.  Was looking at adding the goat when I realised that the Proof version comes in box with Coa.  All very nice but my coins all have a P mark but came only in capsule from seller (I am happy with this as I have nice presentation box built)

I thought mine were bullion given the lack of box and coa but the P mark has thrwen me.  Are all BU now including the P mark?

Thanks all.  Anyone know why older BU coins DIDN'T have P on them and when they started?  Im probably confusing them with Pandas where P does denote Proof.

Anyone think the PM is being mischievous ?

No. It is a mint mark, and mints have been putting them on there for hundreds of years. Certain coins with certain mint marks from certain years can be extraordinarily valuable.

Proof coins/bullion is identified by the different finish.
