China Eagle Securities Co.Ltd 3oz silver coin

I have had this coin for several years now, picked it up in my local coin shop which is close to the city's chinatown.  

He sold it to me at a very good price, just a tiny bit over spot.

 

When i have searched eBay i cant find any other similar pieces, either live or via completed items.

I have never seen anything offered by the  the UK bullions dealers by this firm 

and very little info is available via google.

 

I have weighed it and it is spot on and passes magnet test.

 

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on it

I hope this is not Chinese contraband and should not have left china's hallowed borders like their gold.

Hi Paul I would guess it was this company from Hong Kong which has now ceased trading,probably it issued a few hundred of these medals to clients or as reward for employees is my guess.

 

There are quite a few companies who issue silver rounds or medals to sell or give away to shareholder's and clients,better than getting a crappy pen set.
