Hello everyone!

The 1 oz Silver Forum bars are all done!

I am in the process of packaging up all of the pre-orders and these will be posted out on Tuesday morning. 

But the remaining bars (60 of them) are available for general sale now.

Prices are set as follows

Standard or Non member price - £25.00 per bar

Premium member price - £22.50 per bar

Gold Premium member price - £20.00 per bar

UK Postage: +£2.50 via Royal Mail Signed for delivery for just one bar

FREE POSTAGE: if you buy more than one bar 

International Postage: Please ask for an accurate quote - however I will offer free international standard postage (small top up required for tracked) if you order 5 or more bars. 

Payment is via PayPal F&F or Banks Transfer. I can also take payment via Credit or Debit card (please PM me to discuss this). 

Each bar comes with its own COA and velvet bag

Hope Royal Mail is faster with it's shipment than last time I got something from the UK  Looking forward to them.

On the website I see "CHARITY RAFFLE BAR" with number 200. What's that about?

And btw, what was the mintage of 2017?

The mintage for 2017 was "200"

The "Charity Raffle Bar" is being kept to one side for us to have a charity raffle later in the year. Currently we have got 1x 250g Silver Forum Bar, 1x 1 oz Silver Forum Bar and 1x 100g Silver Forum bar. 

Last year we did a raffle for the Royal British Legion for remembrance day and we raised over £500!

not being funny but wouldn't this and other "sales" threads from BYB be more suited to the sales thread? or perhaps his own "sponsor" section?

this would prevent the only new reply in the silver section being one of BYB's sales as happens frequently

edit: I now see that he does have a sponsor section, even more reason why these sales threads shouldn't be in the general silver section

I see what you mean but as these are forum merchandise we want as much exposure to members as possible and not everybody will go and check my sponsor section.

That said, this is the last of the sales threads so hopefully no more hogging the section!

Agreed, it sometimes seems (no offence to BYB) that the only threads/reply's being posted in this section are trying to sell me something. The vast majority of people are aware of the forum bars and what he sells so I'm not sure it is necessary to advertise outside of the sponsor area/classifieds.

I don't take offence - but we must be looking at very different sections of the forum as there are not that many sales threads in the "silver" section...

As has been said already, a lot of the new reply's popping up in the activity for the silver section posts are to do with sales threads you have started, often replies posted by you.

Again not trying to be difficult, I just think it would be nice to have commercial posts stick to relevant areas.

Well we are going to have to agree to disagree I think - it is not just a sales thread but quite a good way to promote the whole process of making these bars to the forum membership. 

I really don't see a big problem personally - sharing as visibly as possible a thread that helps support, grow and develop the forum to be as great a place as it can possibly be for the best price possible for those members that choose to support via Premium membership or the purchase of these bars.

The forum is primarily a free service for people - but as we have seen in the past (introduction of membership fee's & increase in membership prices) the ever growing costs of managing a website that has a pretty large daily user base is constantly changing. It would be a shame if one day the forum had to become a paid for only website. So support in whatever form from whoever might want to support it can only be a good thing cant it? So to get these bars the most promotion possible is in the forum's interest more than simply it being a sales thread. 

That said I am always open to feedback - if a large number of people voice similar opinions I will have a think about the location of these threads in the future.

The 'front page' doesn't work for me on various browsers on PC so I have no choice but to go to 'activity' and select topics or forum subsections from there, (if they've been recent - sometimes I have to scroll back a lot!).

On that feed it's often your recent posts across multiple topics, always duplicated in the case of vids (with a new thread for each). I'm a 100% supporter of yours BYB and I love to see all the vids, and believe each one deserves attention (they certainly do mine!). I know it's been quiet on here for a bit, but surely there's a way to help folk like me access different parts of the forum more easily and not get the same stuff repeated most of the time?

I will just add one last point.

I personally bank roll these forum bars projects - The Silver Forum receives royalties from the sales of the forum branded bars but they do not bank roll the project themselves. I do not collect funds up front - I start to collect funds after I have committed to a specific timetable of production. To create the forum bars in 2018 I am personally bankrolling nearly 900 oz of silver (not to mention the additional costs of manufacturing, hallmarking etc). 

So kind of feel like I have a right to promote these bars on the main section of this forum.
