Just pre ordered my first bit of silver at last :)

A 2014 proof 5oz proof Britannia -

A mintage of only 600 and over 60% sold out all ready.

Due delivery is next month so will post up some pics when it gets delivered.

A steep premium at £395 but at a 600 mintage I reckon its a safe bet (hopefully)

p.s looks like Britannia is now a hot piece of ass ;)

I've already given my 6 coin set to my son, it is nice but doesn't really fit in with my collection. The 5ozer looks stunning but I daren't buy it.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

Email from the Royal Mint.....

Thank you for your email

Please accept my sincere apologies for the online print error.

The Maximum Coin Mintage for this coin is 1350. The Limited Edition Presentation is 600.

I have contacted the web department to update their information immediately.

Kind Regards

some kind of price raising tactic for next years coins? price says £450 and all sold out , but it wasn't at that price they sold out at...well thats prob the price of next years coin there.

Underhand tactics from the royal mint.

They do make amongst the worlds most beautiful coins though.

On other forums the same discussion is going  on   people who bought the coin and  assumed the mintage was 600

in the end it is  1350 more than double .     --750 slabbed en graded (where are these coins?) the rest -the lesser coins sold in a nice box to the public .

it is a beautifull  and exclusive  coin and there is absolutely no need to play these games with customers

i was on the edge of ordering one but i skip  this one --------

Bit like the barman in Only Fools and Horses selling Rodney the last remaining tickets for the forthcoming party only to use the same patter to the next client.
