Hi! I've seen this coin everywhere and I can't find out if its part of a collection or just one bullion coin more.. Anyone??

They are Perth Mint's "low budget" bullion coin, I think they are the start of a series of cheaper wildlife-themed coins.

I believe the perth mint will be releasing different 1oz low cost bullion coins in tubes. Not sure if you can class them as a series, or if a new design will be seen each year.

I think I read it will be new design each year, but all along the same theme, i.e. next years issue will also be wildlife based and low-cost, as opposed to the premium offerings like Kooks/Wedgies/etc.

I would expect the Kookaburra to be the higher priced coin of the two; it is lower mintage (500,000 per year vs 1,000,000 for crocodiles), is part of a long-running series, is said to have a better quality finish, and each one comes in its own capsule.

Kooks are still good value but as with any coin, if you see a suspiciously low price for them, be wary.
