So, I'm visiting the partner's parents (see similar post in Gold forum) and thought I'd share this interesting little bit of Elizabethan currency: According to my reading, the coronet mint mark, portrait (note the visible ear) and rose behind the queen's head indicate it's a 1567 Sixpence
