The crown is the logo of Monarch Precious Metals, it is a high relief 1oz silver Buffalo round by them. You can find them on APMEX and ebay.

It's a bit of a special edition Buffalo - it came in a case and was 'proof finish' as i remember.

Yea that seems to be it. They look pretty much the same. The mark is on a different location, but they  look the same. Thanks singun! Searching the internet for info on this was dreadful.

The Monarch Precious Metals website isn't loading for me today and APMEX doesn't say it is a MPM product but 100% this is Monarch.

Yes monarch mint... crown with a p above. They do some nice stuff. I have a 5oz sheriff's badge. The mint mark and weight are Lazer etched/stamped.

That's a cool piece. Not exactly what I expected with the laser etching on the back, but the front looks ok .But l have to pass on this one. Even though I have really no experience with silver bullion (or any precious metals) I know what I like, and I think that piece looks weird being of such a classic form as a sheriff's badge and having the rear laser etched with a font that looks very out of place. But for 99% of people this is probably a must have piece.

i agree about the laser etching - it does not work for this sort of piece.

@sixgun @999magnum

Totally agree their should have been stamping instead of Lazer etched, but it make a change to the norm.

Lazer etched kind of cheapens the look.

The only other sheriff's badges I could find were by the Franklin mint. But there's no weight to them. So went with this one.

Nice buffalo by the way. What's the mintage like.

Oh I’m not sure if there’s a mintage on these. I could be wrong but I think they are genetic rounds that Apmex sells. I picked it up with 6 other different coins and rounds  when they sent me a $25 coupon 2 weeks ago. But these are one of my favs for sure. They really look nice and the fact that they are high relief gives them an unusual appeal that makes me wanna keep getting them.
