Anyone use these? I quite like the idea of these and i think the black foam is nice to protect and makes the coin look better presented, as long as the foam is pvc free are these safe to use ?

What you need to note is that the foam ring may be Air-tite branded but the capsule they supply is Lighthouse.

It won't make any difference to many but I' thought I'd point it out in case you expected the capsules to be Air-tite branded.

Coin Gallery are pretty good, I have used them before. I use the ringed capsules because I think the black provides a nice contrast to the silver coin.

As mentioned, you are getting airtite rings and lighthouse capsules but they do work nicely together and have kept all my coins in pristine condition.

Sounds good to me:) I'm glad the vendor is well respected, i ordered a few last night to test. Does not bother me if the rings and caps are different brands really. one thing though does anyone know if the caps are smooth edge like the Perth mint? that's basically what i want Perth mint quality caps with a black foam ring inside.

Not quite smooth and depending on the size of the caps, the ridge can be huge.  Lighthouse are the cheapest of caps and you can see it in the quality.

i hope there's no ridges like on the lighthouse coins i have my bison's in, they are not so nice.

I Really want them to have a premium feel to them, genuine air-tite the way to go for that? I will wait and see how they feel might feel fine to me.

Yea these capsules will have the awkward edges no doubt.

The air-tite branded capsules are a much better quality capsule, and without the annoying ridges on the edges.

I was thinking about foam ring capsules, I have seen some gold coins displayed in them. I still can't work out if they make coins look better or worse than in standard capsules without the rings. I think it depends on the size of the coin, as a small coin in a large capsules with a large ring can look a bit odd.

I like and use the square Quadrum capsules. They have a nice quality feel to them, and the newer "Intercept" foam insert claims to activly protect from tarnishing for 15 years. Also all your coins are the same size and easy to stack/store. Presentation boxes are also available for various numbers of capsules.

I prefer them without the foam ring where possible.

I've got a half eagle in a properly sized capsule and it's just annoying, i'd much rather have it ringed & fit nicely into my regular trays than having a specific tray for that size and wasting a slot.

I've seen sovs in black ringed capsules before and I think they looked really smart, but it's definitely personal taste.

booth of those look like nice alternatives, how much for those ones morezone?

Around 70p each when ordered in half decent qty.

Superb. I suppose these can be bought for 1/2 sovs.

Unfortunately not.  1/2 Sovs need to have the foam ring.  They're ever too big for the 19mm direct fit caps and the next size up is 21mm which is too bit.  The full sovs fit into the 22mm perfectly though.

I've taken all my 1/10ths out of their original caps for the very same reason.  They're so tiny and don't fit in with everything else.
