Yes, the BU Griffins were...the proofs were the last for this series.

Yeah, I have resided in the fact that it’s best not to over analyze The Royal Mint’s rhyme or reason...may make one more mad than already being caused by this crazy world.

However, others may know with certainty what The Royal Mint’s strategy was with the differing BU and Proof timing for the Griffin.

Something a bit different arrived today - a proclamation from 1806 detailing the new coinage for Napoleonic Italy. I thought I had completed the typeset of these coins but it appears I have one missing 😧
