Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

My silver proof Mayflower medal and coin set and the silver reverse proof Mayflower medal arrived the other day from my brother in Florida, we decided to wait until the Christmas rush of post was over for them to send my US Mint order over.

Another friend in the US has been tracking a package of coins from him....here is where the package has been to already:

Accepted Hampton
Departed Hampton
Arrived Norfolk
Arrived Philadelphia
Arrived Jersey City
Arrived Norfolk (again, and why?)
Departed Norfolk
Arrived Philadelphia (again)
Departed Philadelphia
Arrived Jersey City (again!)
Arrived Philadelphia (third times the charm)
Departed Philadelphia
Arrived South Jersey (new!)
Arrived Jamaica NY
Departed Jamaica NY
Arrived Jamaica NY
Processed through Jamaica NY
Arrived New York
Departed New York
Departed London Heathrow

Most of that package is clad US coins, two Basketball 50 cent coins, and my 2020 bullion silver American Eagle.

Thank you! That's true. I have a half and four quarter rupees to sell today. They will be getting listed shortly. 👍🏻

Sorting through old pennies was where I came in...

Counting them in our family's amusement arcade was one of my jobs as a teenager, and I still like "old" pennies, and most other pre-decimal coins, which I think were better engraved and struck then modern decimal coins.

We still have a few tons of old pennies which need sorting out when we have time...

Pile of UK George V Bronze Pennies

I'll sort them pennies out for you, but i don't think there's much value in them, especially the 1933 one sat on top of the pile!
