Apologies up front...I will have to break up my received coins over several posts, since most everything arrived after I had been away for several weeks...the variety shall not disappoint.

Kicking us off with some silver...the 2015 - 2019 Republic of Congo 1 oz Silver Silverback Gorilla (Prooflike) series. I picked these up as I also gifted a set to an Air Force colleague of mine who goes by the same call sign as these one ouncers!

Next, a recent release 2019 Netherlands 1 oz Silver Ducaton Silver Rider Proof Restrike. Really like this design!

Next we will enter some gold pickups. A few adding some weight and a couple which have been sought after and adding some numismatic appeal...

For weight, taking advantage of some New Years deals, also before gold prices went up...

A 2015 Canada 1/4 oz BU Gold $10 Polar Bear and Cub, still in manufacturer's packaging.

The tiniest gold piece in my collection...I think I picked this up to get an order above $100 for free shipping...a 2020 1/50 oz Somalia Gold Elephant Coin (BU).

Next up, starting to get semi-numismatic, the first gold Kook...2020 Australia 1/10 Oz Gold Kookaburra (BU).

And a numismatic piece to add into the Middle East gold coin collection...a AH1374/1955 Egypt Gold 1 Pound (MS-63).

The 2020 Gold Double Sovereign BU. First double sovereign in BU with some great added weight to the collection!

And a huge “Thank you!” to @5huggy for this beauty! Adding to my 2017 Gold Sovereign collection, an awesome 2017 Half Sovereign Proof!

There seemed to be a stowaway in the Sovereign package from @5huggy...one of his Minions found his way to my house! Hopefully he doesn’t start multiplying and taking over my residence like has happened with @5huggy!! Thank you!!

Lastly, a tremendous “THANK YOU!!” to Emanuel  with @RoslandGold for working with me on sourcing these superb beauties!!! Rosland Gold presents The British Museum Masterpiece Collection Gold Coins!

These 1/4 oz gold coin - of which only 3000 were minted are available from Rosland Capital. These collector coins are specially minted as a proof by Swiss-based mint, PAMP SA.

The series features highlights from among the countless masterpieces in the Museum’s collection, starting with helmets from ancient Greece and Rome, Roman Britain and Anglo-Saxon England.

British Museum Greek Helmet 1/4 oz Gold Coin. The first design shows a beautiful, classical Greek helmet of Corinthian type in bronze, dated to around 460BC. The helmet bears an inscription stating that the Argives, inhabitants of Argos, dedicated it to Zeus as spoil won in battle from the Corinthians.

British Museum Gladiator's Helmet 1/4 oz Gold Coin. The second design in their British Museum coin collection features a bronze gladiator’s helmet, dated to the 1st Century and found in Pompeii, Italy.

This helmet would have been worn by a heavily armed Roman gladiator such as the samnite or murmillo. It is said to have been found in the gladiator’s barracks at Pompeii. It has a grille of linked circles to protect the face, and a broad brim to protect the back and sides of the head. At the front of the helmet is a medallion of Hercules.

And 

British Museum Anglo-Saxon Sutton Hoo Helmet 1/4 oz Gold Coin. This 1/4 oz coin features the famous Anglo-Saxon Sutton Hoo helmet, from the early 7th century.

Unearthed at Sutton Hoo, in Suffolk, England, one of the most famous archaeological digs in Britain, this iconic helmet belonged to an Anglo-Saxon ruler. The surfaces of the helmet are decorated with animal interlaceand heroic scenes. An iron crest forms a great snake that arches over the top of the helmet. The crest meets the snout of a flying creature that covers the face of the helmet. The flying creature forms the nose, amustache and eyebrows of a human face.

 

In closing, this photo montage also incorporates a tribute to my father with the background including his fine art piece, a hand cast Bronze rendition of a Medieval Sallet helmet art piece.

Just got this very nice chunky 1/2 kilo Baird bar from Ash this morning. I've taken a photo of a 10oz Englehard bar on its side to show how thick this Baird bar is. A belter .

Just recieved some 2019 Sovereigns direct from Royal Mint Bullion and they came in screw top capsules which are a slightly better fit than their previous push fit type.

Ordered this a while ago but finally have it in hand and love it. The original Canadian Voyageur dollar was the first coin design I ever fell in love with so couldn't resist eventally getting this.

I only recently discovered the existence of these silver £1 "Heraldic Beasts" collections.

This set was the runner-up in a design competition to the well known 2003-06 "Bridges" and was only produced by the Royal Mint as a "pattern" edition. Never legal tender, the "coins" are only permitted a non-milled edge which is hallmarked. A forerunner of the now famous QB collections?
