I’ll take that as no then .

You can do what you want and to be honest with a bullion coin in that condition I don’t think it matters. If it was better I would maybe consider sending for restoration via PCGS or NGC (I prefer the former as I think the latter has terrible standards for the older coins) and that would tidy it up a bit! It’s a lovely, lovely coin though and I think most people on here know I am obsessed with the Jubilee period, so just enjoy a beautiful coin!!!!

The gap between the G: and the crown is greater and the top of the crown also touches the beading edge

They sell for over £500 👍

I thought all the 87’s were the first legend? Isn’t it the 88’s that are the rare / scarce ones?

They really are lovely coins. I bought the Au 1/10th Kooks last year from a dealer in Europe, but it's never quite plain sailing I find. There seems to be some confusion with a few couriers re VAT. I see that you are in Romania, did you experience any issues? Pt looks great, I love the kind of matte reverse finish on it.👍

What's the George V effigy for?

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

The gold privy mark depicts a 1929-31 Perth Mint sovereign.  Something to do with a coin fair, but I really have no idea why that year.
