Well the gold proof seems interesting but unfortunately I have sunk most of my budget in the Rwanda Dog craze [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I just bought the whole set, I have also the 2017 normal silver proof set, will sell next year though and think I will make a small profit.

Nope unfortunately not as I have already spent near to £800 on 50p coins this month, the gold proof would of been nice but I have used my monthly budget for coins up

Included in the 30k mintage 

they only released 25 k on the general sales

The total max mintage is 40k with 30k being the normal standard proof set and then 10k for other stuff which includes 3.5k for this new £120 boxed set.  Has it always been this from day one?  I always though the max mintage was 30k but it seems it's 40k.

I am sure it was 30k before allocation 25k and 5 k other stuff

Since then, it has been changed and a max mintage of 40k added.  Either there was a mistake with quoted mintages at the beginning or they added the mintage for clarification or they've moved the goal posts and increased the mintage on the sly.

30,000 was definitely quoted originally.

120%+ premium.  Bit too rich for me.

But then again, the SOTD sovereign was around the same premium.
