I would be interested in one of these - does anyone have experience of buying platinum from Apmex and shipping to the UK and how costly is it/can it be?

Apmex is $50 shipping to UK and platinum is VAT chargeable with a customs clearance fee of ~£12 on top. I'd buy from the EU since there won't be any saving buying outside unless buying private with a creative customs declaration.

20% on top of seen price plus the rest thanks. I have only bought platinum from europesilver bullion before, finding it with low enough premiums to justify is difficult.

Some time if the right deal comes along I too would like a platinum coin but unwilling to stomp up the avoidable VAT.
