royal mint rang me today asking if i still wanted the 2022 sovereign ? i said i never ordered one but a half they said there was another available so i said ok and paid over phone. never had that before and its showing up as a new order in my mint account

to be honest i dont collect guineas but when i saw it advertised i knew instantly that it was the first i had ever seen come up for sale i jumped on it,and they never do if yah see one grab it lol

i have just bought it midasfrog hopefully come tomorrow its a very rare coin to come up for sale because its the double guinea and the 1688/7 variety i must admit i haven't slept well since i bought it lmao

marsh R4 1848/over 7 not the best condition but certainly one of the best and clearly defined 8 over 7 I have seen

bargain or no? i really do buy anything 😆 this was in the coins of the realm auction and again there were some real bargains to be had lovely little auction 999 minted this is the only one graded so top pop population 1 and 40 quid above spot (same weight and size as half sovereign)

marsh r3 rarity 1845 half sovereign think I got 5 now 😆 I should sell them all and invest in a nice one its ex mount cleaned and scratched but got it just above bullion price so ticks all my boxes 😆

yes many thanks Dicker it seems its a Chinese fake I bought a job lot of coins and this was staring at me lol 😆 I wasn't convinced it was genuine and I paid very little for the coins seems ebay france isno better lol 😆

not the prettiest 😕 but I like em 2 half sovereigns 1834 and 1835 notice how small the 1834 is compared to the 1835 I actually prefer it feels nicer in he hand
