  1. True but seeing as how silver has just had the perfect storm to cause it to explode and it didn't I'm not seeing how this stands any better chance. Media attention from Redit, Supply restrictions from covid, Availability issues from most of the major mints and refineries, You only need to look at the last 10 years and see its not doing anything it hasn't before and given inflation is around the 20% its less now than it was at the beginning of the year before Russia, fuel hikes ect
  2. Oldest was mid 1700s my guess is it'll get deemed as treasure with several being from Brazil
  3. Hmrc will be following the auction closely
  4. Canceling and relisting an item with minutes to go because they didn't set a reserve and aren't willing to sell at the auction price
  5. My crypto investment is down 80ish % I'm just going to rough it out maybe one day it'll jump but till then meh 🤷‍♂️
  6. The 5oz of @Leonmarsh the 10 and the kilo off ebay the only one I'm now missing is the 1oz hammered gold
  7. I genuinely have no rhyme or reasoning as to my close to hand little pile 🤔
  8. Ouch depends how badly you want it. I tried selling a kilo lunar dragon at 20% over spot on here and zero interest so Im passing on kilo coins as bars seem to be more desirable
  9. Omp as much as a pain it is it takes up 4-5x the space I went down the same route a while ago and ended up getting 1oz bar tubes think I had a little over 200oz of them at 1 point 🙄

    Advice

I've got a couple kicking around that aren't worth what I paid for them I'm just going to hold them till either I peg it or the price shoots up. tuvalu gear coins
  11. Now comes the argument of ownership again think Spain won the last fight over sunk treasure
  12. Loose especially in relation to sovs otherwise they don't fit in the box
  13. On topic but off topic if your new to the market stick to the bog standard britanannia / krugerrand for silver. Sovs, krugs and capital gains tax exempt items for gold. Umicore/ pamp/ metalor for bars and avoiding hand poured items as liquidity can be problematic to say the least.
  14. Just look at the 1989 proof sovereign Royal mint couldn't shift them for love nor money to start with now their asking 2.5k. I agree with everything Paul said excluding the 2022 sovereign design. My proof got sent back the same day it arrived.
  15. The gruffalo 50p. The original £2 coins not the bi metallic ones. And........ 🤔 A series of pre decimal into decimal coinage just to string things out
  16. The cheapest option if your looking for kilos are the kilo coins oddly. ? As to why. They frequently sell for less than a generic metalor/umicore bar
  17. The smaller the bar the higher the premium I suggest steering clear of the 1oz bars especially Scott's Dale the one bars as there is so many fakes. 10oz bars are a popular size not too many 5oz bars other than fortuna or Scottsdale
  18. I'm guessing it's Russian investors trying to hold on to their investments explains the removal of tax on pms in Russia and their doing the same with their yachts as their off shore accounts are getting seized
  19. I've not seen a jump of 10% in physical prices yet so guessing it's just paper swapping hands
  20. 1478 and still climbing could it possibly be inflation has hit 🤔
  21. Tempted to start Stacking drums of electrical cable opposed to silver
  22. 😒 You add inflation and geez silver has taken a beating in the last year
  23. With the shear valve of just the 2oz silver arms and gothic alone rrp is just shy of £2.1million why haven't they brought in automated qc controls that photos each coin prior to packing and rejects any that are damaged or have imperfections? . Most if not all car manufacturers do it to make sure holes are in the right place any defect is then flagged up.
