2018 RAM "25" Anniversary Privy Silver FrUnc Kangaroo   This coin is something of a quandary to me, The RAM confirmed to me last year that the 2018 Roobar - of which this coin was a part-  was released with a mintage of 1922 from a maximum 5000. I saw this coin available in two different locations...and so decided to make this my last VAT-free purchase from Germany. Needless to say, it got stuck in Europe before eventually limping its way home to me.   I await precise information from the Royal Australian Mint, having fired off an inquisitorial missive in their direction. Still, it has saved me any undue consideration as to how to display this roo.   Unlike the four "official" members of the "Seasons Change" series, this anniversary privy version sports the initials SMS of its designer, Stevan Stojanovic. Who he?   This 2018 "Summer" Skippy is probably the most pleasing of the four seasons and, in my opinion, the frosting makes for the FrUnc being more attractive than the Proof.   

Received these beauties today:
a 1995 Russian .900 15.55g fine gold 100 rubles commemorating Alexander Nevsky (so cool to think of this coin as a store of value during the Russian economic upheavals of the 1990s)
 
a 1989 Portuguese .917 edit: 22g fine gold 100 escudos commemorating the discovery of the Azores (Portugal issued a series of precious metal commemorative coins around this time which are quite in demand as collectors items)

NANO LAST JUDGMENT Florence Cathedral Ceilings of Heaven Silver Coin 5$ Cook Islands 2014
  5.0 star rati   Third coin in series, the entire Florence Cathedral fresco is entirely depicted on the octagonal shaped Nano Chip embedded in the coin. Onto the size of a finger nail a very high resolution image is engraved with the technology of microelectronics on an ultra-planar Nano Chip, produced in a dust free environment out of high purity quartz in extreme vacuum. Mintage 999 pcs only!   first 3 pics just taken, the rest from website which show them a little better than i can photo.
detail is amazing, I would love to know how i can see the images from the Micro /Nano chip

I got a few things today. I know they're not nearly as impressive as most things on this thread but I think they're neat so I'll share. The Queen is a gift but the shipwrecks are something I was pretty entranced with. No regrets. They're just as beautiful in person.

2000 RAM Silver Proof 1oz $1 Kangaroo   A lovely example of this coin from a maximum mintage of 9,972.   This particular design, the first of three by Vladimir Gottwald, depicts a kangaroo leaping across a recessed silhouette of Australia.   The corresponding frostie from the same year is shown for comparison in the lower photographs. A clear win for the proof imo.

The 1998 RAM Silver Proof $1 1oz Kangaroo   Following the introduction of the BU silver "Frosties" in 1993, the RAM started the set of corresponding proof roos with this coin. The design changes with each year and both formats have been produced ever since.    Despite the recent climb in silver prices, the steep issue prices from the RAM means that these beautiful proof versions are, even now, still changing hands at prices near their lows in Australia.   Photos courtesy of maestro @CadmiumGreen®   Having started this collection only recently, I still require over half the proofs and would welcome PMs if you have any to swap or trade.

I was thinking of a similar set to the America The Beautiful quarters. 
And yes Spinal Tap might well qualify as a national treasure- if not exactly a landmark.
