This week I sold a solid 2oz silver bullet to a member of this forum and posted it out with Royal Mail.
Today I received this letter..
I assuming there's nothing I can do, I'm going to try to ring the number but I imagine I'll hit a brick wall?
Will refund the buyer and take the hit I suppose
Update: rang the number on the letter and they informed me its not been destroyed yet and to disregard the letter. They're awaiting a firearms specialist to come and inspect it which it should then get forwarded on.
This is a parcel going from mainland UK to Northern Ireland so I understand why its happened. On the xray its a bullet shape and after that they probably aren't allowed to touch it or open it?
Sadly this means up to a four week delay but at least no previous metals were lost!
