  1. Here's something that I can't quite believe happened that honestly made me chuckle and say out loud "how am I not surprised". 3 coin set turned up today and I'm thinking not to get my hopes up. Sure enough when I open the box. The full sov is out of the capsule. But here's the funny part, the capsule is closed. So someone put this is in full well knowing what they've done. You honestly can't write it. Miraculously, the full sov looks completely fine and I have no idea how, along with the others but will inspect closer when I have time. So glad I had my camera ready for this one.
  2. True and I understand this, however I wanted to give a balanced view to the question asked, as everyone has said they haven't had any issues, so I didn't want @GoldDabbler to order one, then be disappointed after everyone's recommendations. Honestly, they aren't bad, it was more of the flexible request I asked for that was turned down that peeved me a little I guess. Also the link they sent doesn't really back them up in their logic. I have seen it yet this is first I've experienced, I'm aware I'm anal but if it was me I'd look for that sort of stuff, it makes the difference. @GoldDabbler I will say though the packaging is great, discreet and you get a call once funds have been received so please don't let me cloud your judgement
  3. They sent me a scratched 2022 bullion sovereign, and are unwilling to replace when they have stock. Here's the full conversation for full transparency: Hi there, Thank you for fulfilling my order last week. I've had a bit of time over the weekend to take a look at the coins and I can see there are what look like scratches on the queens cheek on one of them. I'm aware that you're out of stock of these at the moment but would it be possible to exchange one in better condition, when you have stock again? If you could let me know my options, I'd really appreciate it. The reply Hello Max. Thank you for your e-mail. The coins we sell are bullion coins, so they ought to have some imperfections and minor scratches. The Royal Mint has an explanatory website for this https://www.royalmint.com/discover/coin-collecting/striking-standards/. For this reason we are unable to exchange the coins as they are all going to be similar quality. Kind regards, Priit Rinken A bit of a shame, especially with new coins, so be mindful of this when ordering new stock. As it looks like they don't QC their new coins. I left a fair review to reflect the experience.
  4. I've just had a look at this, but if you look closer, the 1 is meant in terms of the number of conditions that apply. The only reason I mention this is that the other numbers from 2 downwards are held at a slightly higher position, if you look closely you see what I mean. Just saying this now before someone gets disappointed they don't get the extra 100,000 points they were hoping for. Not meaning to piss on anyone's chips with this, just pointing it out :).
  5. Sorry to hear for those that didn't get one, if its any consolation im still 2000 in the queue. Perhaps by the time I get in there will be cancellations 🤣. Well done to those who managed to get one, its a beautiful design and one of my favourites. Hope you receive it/them in perfect condition! That's the next hurdle.
  6. Good luck to all of you, I'm 5000 in the queue so no luck for me i don't think, but I hope you all get what you want, sent to you flawlessly.
  7. I can imagine they would re-strike it. They already have the dies and it wouldn't make sense to sell it at a discounted rate when you have the tools in house to fix it. Could be wrong though. Yeah thanks. To be honest I'm taking the ancient stoic approach of not letting it bother me. They said they would replace it and I trust they'll do just that. It's just a shame that it goes this way for so many, when the problem itself is easily fixable. I'm not sure what they meant about the 1%. I'm guessing that it means for the immediate returns they have that allocation available. Once the returns die down they'll probably re-strike the ones that are faulty and sell them on. Again this is a guess/speculation but it would make sense taking this approach.
  8. Received my sovereign yesterday, going straight back. Capsule opened in transit and spots/marks on obverse. Such a shame. RM have confirmed they have held back 1% of stock for returns FYI.
