The mint have what I find revealing a video on reclaimation of certain metals, I certainly pick my copper tuppences out and considering any cash held to be in coins whatever metal, the little tinker I am becoming.

I'd say go for it, especially the pre 1920's. It is a good way to learn about silver and how I started in PM. The chances of acquiring fake metal are reduced and give you a feel for the metal should you wish to progress to other forms, they are beautiful ( in my opinion ), will only get rarer. I have done trade with them, though admittedly this I guess is limited to who you know. Unless you are VAT registered just understand this is all in the premium others have explained or transacting so much you get hit with Capital Gains. I am more of the camp that this will grow in trade as people give up on cash and are duped into the all seeing CBDC. In the mean time just have fun with it, and good luck!

They look great. If you went for a finer pinch you could add silicone covers they use for tweezers to get the grip!

Take one coin from tube one, two coins from tube two and so on. Should equal 1110 ounces. If tube one is fake it weighs 1109.5, if tube 2 is fake it weighs 1109 and so on....

Sorry to hear your predicament. It has crossed my mind lately that these parcels are not being dealt with correctly when delivered and had them just posted through the letter box. Asked for no signature, and provided no signature for the items you recently sent to me.
They have admitted "removing the item from the network", I'd say raise a police complaint (get a crime number) as good measure as the sender would have stated the item was not a prohibited item.
It did cross my mind to the detection of drugs as has been mentioned, but what ever the excuse you'd think they would inform the police on such matters. I have bought silver bullets an wondered if scanned they would be pick up as a prohibited item.
As an an additional point to SD though know this is not relevant to your case, a paper signature ought to be sought on delivery not those stupid screens, if you are asked for a signature at all..

I have had the argument with royal mail long ago about worth and value on a claim, which I could not get them to understand. I said I may have a large receipt for an item bought decades ago that only has sentimental value or may be sending a Rembrandt worth thousands only having paid 10s of pounds. There has to be a better way than how they are operating.
