Went alright told all was hunky dory until I get a message saying ring us. So ring them they are not happy to whom I am trying to pay the money.
Talk about the third degree treating me like a halfwit. What am I buying  am not telling you, no did not like that reply nor a lot of others I gave him.
I would put in a complaint but as our conversation ended with me telling him to f off might not be the best way. I should not have said that to him but
having spent about 30 minutes on the phone to him  I had had enough.

Groundup reacted to sixgun in At what point will a bullion sovereign become too expensive to buy?
Is this thread still about when will a bullion sovereign be too expensive to buy?
Too expensive to buy by whom?
If something is too expensive to buy, it will never sell and the price being asked is meaningless.
How will you ever sell your sovereigns if they are too expensive to buy?
Logically you won't, so if you want to sell the sovereign you'll drop the price. You might accept something other than fiat, like the chap's youngest daughter or some such.
i can see the fiat price of soveriegns going very high but at the same time a loaf of bread will rise in price as well - it is simply a sign that the currency died and who would want to use a dead currency?

Truth be told it's all a cycle.
Even if you held and doubled your money, it costs twice as much to buy back in..like property in a sense.
Ohh I made £80k profit on my flat, unless you plan to live in a tent, you will spend that £80k+ on the new place. So the only objective for me personally is hopefully having a free pastime and sustaining buying power for whatever the future throw's at me.

Look at this chart - i know it is a US equity chart but i post it here b/c more people look here.
It is a 6 monthly chart of the ratio of the SPX (SP 500) index and gold. It is on a log scale.
When the chart goes up the price of the index goes up relative to gold - when it goes down the price of gold goes up relative to equities.
As we can see there are times when equities are expensive and gold is relatively cheap. This would be a time to sell equities and buy gold.
Looking at the chart there is a pattern in these movements - it is not random. I propose that the chart is telling us that equities are going to fall and gold will rise. The Western financial system is crumbling and the demand for gold is as high as it ever has been. The fundamentals support my projected path of the chart.

I've never thought Bitcoin was digital gold. I'm not sure who started the term probably one of the bitcoin zealots like Max Keiser or Michael Saylor?
It doesn't have to be in my mind either. It goes up and down like everything else.
Joe public normally buys and sells on herd mentality and feel secure when everyone's wants to do the same thing.
Very few like to buy when its down though.
There are bad actors in every space. Isn't every investment viewed with the hope somebody will pay more for it later?
There will always in every market cycle be somebody left holding the bag? The stock market will crater again and the banks too probably?
Then the public will be left holding the bag to bailout the greed, fraud and incompetence.
Crypto is being integrated in the businesses and financial sector now.
It's not wishful thinking it's happening across the world.
There will be multiple winners and losers.🤷‍♂️
I'm fairly immune mentally to the fluctuations in crypto and precious metals.
If it gets to you that bad your more then likely over invested and over leveraged.
    Volatility creates opportunity to invest.

Groundup reacted to GoldDiggerDave in How to save/pay of mortgage/ pension ect ect
I have read this a few times,  I did exactly the opposite that you are proposing, I did not over pay into a pension, i overpaid my mortgage while it was cheep……for me the whole idea of paying all my savings to someone then they can tell me how much I can have is just an insane concept.  AKA a pension.

Id rather own my property out right before I was 40 and have zero debt, and then use a few years to hard save.  Allowing for inflation for enough saved to last the next 25 years and with higher interests rates on my ISA’s I’m laughing, holding cash does not cost me anywhere close to 10% per year as I have very little exposure to inflation, no mortgage, free heating, can cook/bake on £90 per months for 2 if I have to, and only do about 3000 miles a year in my car, can get this down to sub 2000 miles if I cycle a bit more.  Even with the crazy hikes up prices of energy it only £108 per month and I’m well over paying and getting into credit every month, my mates bill is £420 per month so it’s a case how well you can manage your exposure to inflation that will determine how much it your cash savings you will lose if any……….at 4.6% fixed for 2 years on my isa is covering almost all my fixed outgoings per year council tax, energy, food, if you are not paying a mortgage and income off other investments cover your fixed out goings I consider that a fantastic proposition for anyone.

paying pensions is just handing other people control of  your wealth and keeps you turning up to that job for 50 years.

i have bought silver coins through goldsilver.be a number of times this year. i have them keep the coins and the after a few lots in get them to send them to me. It saves on shipping charges.
My order for the last lot of coins i bought still has not been completed - i made the order 3 weeks ago. Looking at the pages of GS.be most of the coins are either out of stock or are designated as 'pre-sale' - which is code for not in stock. Three out of the 6 different types of coins are not available.
i don't remember seeing so many coins unavailable. i just watched an Arcadia Economic video with Rafi Faber - he said Andy Schectman of Miles Franklin had told him he had not seen things as tight since 2008. In the Arcadia video Rafi was saying that since Silver Squeeze (labelled as a waste of time by some members) the amount of silver on the COMEX has been progressively declining. That at the current rate the registered silver is 10 weeks off record lows and will run out in 20 weeks. There is silver in the eligible category but much of this is ETF silver which i will say is spoken for.
The gold and silver prices will take off when there isn't the physical available to support the paper Ponzi scheme.

So ordinarily I'd join the queue at 8:30am, I would likely receive a queue number of 8000 minimum and end up with a 2oz proof that needs returning. To then find out that these coins are nothing but hype and badly designed 😅 honestly I'd rather stand in a queue for santa at the local bar😁

I had to Google "types of humour", and although 9 seems to be a common answer, there were also sites which stated there to be 4, 5. 6, 9, 11, 20, 25, and presumably many more.
Now I feel compelled to spend the next hour or so researching the topic.
I take your comment about me having all 9 types as a compliment, but now I am worried that I may be missing  quite a few other types.
My comments about your "point", were because your original post consisted solely of ".", otherwise known as a point, period, full stop, dot, etc.
While much of what I write or say is serious, I also love to have fun and enjoy humour, which I feel is better shared.

    Whereas I lack wit-wordplay so I don't get your comment.🤔
