This is what I got from Atkinsons Bullion when I ordered one of their "Bullion 100g Silver Bar" mystery deals. I was hoping for a minted bar but now that I have received this cast one I think its pretty cool and well worth the £60 inclusive price.

Lovely double florin from @AgD this morning. thanks
Took me a while to work out where it should go in the folder- HC is 2s6d and a crown is 5s so I figured it goes between them as its 4s?

This set of 999 Silver Gems were special made for me. Absolutely love them. We decided against stamping them as they just look so amazing as they are!

The truth is Gold can go up or down during a deflationary period. In fact, Gold rose during the last major deflationary period in the 1930s. Does this mean the same will happen?, no. There are no certainties.
Best you can do is ensure you are as balanced as possible, dont put all your eggs in one basket. But gold is a good bet in this period. Dont follow the advice of an internet troll.

Received  these from Baird mint today, I’m not a collector and not a fan of Queen’s Beasts at all, only bought these Beasts because Baird Mint’s prices were really good, £74 premium for a 24 carat 1oz coin is not bad at all in this corona virus situation.
But what I am very impressed with is the Young head sovereign because I paid £348 for an ordinary Young head sovereign but they sent me a Melbourne Mint young head sovereign 🤩, so that’s a nice little surprise, I see chards are selling Melbourne Mint young heads for £534.
also I must thank @Blehhhh for Recommending   Baird Mint, their prices are really amazing.

Some nice world silvers courtesy of @ilovesilverireallydo
Mostly European .835s including some nice Spanish silver and pre-unification Italian states
My absolute favourite though and one of my top 5 coins for sure is the Polish 10 zlotych. Lovely size and weight to it and look at that stunning obverse design. Love the massive moustache on the reverse too

Hi All.         I have just read your email about your history at 79yrs my memory is just about alright but when i made my first purchase of you i think you traded as R & l Coins ? is this correct and what year did you change the trading title. I believe i paid £3 something for a full sovereign prices a bit different now they have unfortunately gone up just like my age but that's life."

While I can't comment on Bairds as I've never used them, I would definitely recommend sovereigns.  While I *think* a sovereign contains a little bit less gold than a quarter ouncer (something like 0.4 grams?) gold sovereigns are super-liquid.  If you ever want/need to sell them then you will not have a difficult time finding a buyer.  Plus sovereigns have greater collector's value, there's numerous different monarchs, different countries' mints, special edition sovereigns,...these coins have been struck since 1817 so in my opinion collecting sovs is much more interesting than quarter-ounce coins.
Talking about the gold price in general, if the global economy sharply rebounded after this crisis and GDP growth rose to pre-Covid levels then that could lead to the price dropping as people take their money out of safe-haven assets - the big one being gold of course,...on the other hand that could also not happen.  Gold goes up in value when people are afraid, be it of defaults, a sharp rose in inflation, global crisis, etc and human beings are not the most rational of creatures.  So my answer to that is; who knows?  I'll leave that to more informed and experienced people than me to comment on.
Personally I wouldn't worry too much about the price.  Sometimes you buy at a price which turns out to be high, sometimes you buy at a price which turns out to be low.  It happens to everyone.  The important thing is getting that gold in your hand and either way it's still under-valued.
And worst case-scenario, if you did buy some gold and the price then dropped, you can just buy more at the lower price.

Sadly I sacrificed my Chilean Pesos to put towards this fine lump- cost me a lot more than the one I originally bought.  That lad drives a hard bargain, not sure where he gets it from 🤔

Thank you @InvestInCoins888 for this wonderful Isle of Man Proof Sovereign set and also, for helping me out by not only the offer of a lower price, but also holding it until I got funds together to pay for it.
The little free gift sent with the set was a nice surprise 😄
Also, thanks to the Forum members who bought and are currently looking after the items I sacrificed from my collection to secure the set.  Hope you all enjoy your purchases, for now, I’ll be pestering you all in due course, for them back 😉
I very much appreciated the advice taken from a Forum member I have much respect of prior to making the purchase: ‘Rich,  the Reverse is a little bit Marmite’. But who could deny that the Machin Obverse is an enduring classic.
What I like about this particular set is its completeness- Sovereigns untouched and sealed in the presentation case, COA, original invoice for £388.50! and even the little waxed envelope the Jeweler supplied it in!
Anyway, enough waffle, here’s the lovely 46 year old set.

It's been an absolute age since I've posted in this thread.  I'm no longer adding weight to my collection and have recently sold off bits which I'm no longer continuing with in order to swap out for the remaining QB 1 and 1/4 oz Golds.  2 more 1oz and 3 1/4 oz to go to complete the collection which I should  finish at the end of the year when they release The White Greyhound of Richmond.
Ordered the Yale and White Lion from Chards on the 17th March.  I completely forgot about the Yale so I was scrambling to find one quick since the White Horse was being released which meant minting for the Yale would be stopping and premiums going up.  Atkinsons had already increased the Yale premium and some places were already out of stock.  Managed to get in at just over £1200 spot just as demand and spot was rising and just before the lockdown.  Ended up with a bit of a wait and were delivered today.  Unfortunately the Queen on the Yale has been attacked by her Corgis.
