sovereignsteve got a reaction from fehk2001 in How to price a coins value?
"How to price a coins's value"?
Good question - depends on lots of things, not least are you a buyer or seller? If latter, how quickly do you want to sell, how many do you want to sell etc?
Simple answer; don't take any notice of BBP!
Selling price of these on Ebay is around £ 35
On the forum? These days probably a couple of pounds north of spot😄

sovereignsteve got a reaction from NGMD in Question Regarding Slabbed/Graded Coins
Experience handling lots of slabbed coins is the best way but there have been tips online and comarisons between the two. problem is those fiendishly clever people in China are continually improving their craft.
First step would be to check the number on the PCGS or NGC website and have a look at the photo if there is one. It is usually possible to spot any obvious differences between a fake and the real photo.
Next would be to weigh it and compare with a known genuine article, this larger the coin the better.
It would actually be useful to build up a database here on TSF of weights of various slabbed coins.

I get my fuel from a supermarket as all the local stations have closed down, and the supermarkets have no one in the kiosk running it,they got rid of them too. it is all done at the pump with credit/debit card, If I find an independent supplier when I move I will use that instead. I had even thought of getting my local farmer to buy it for his tractors in bulk then pay him cash, he likes cash.

They do or did give a guarantee of some sorts in connection to any errors they make. It could be if they falsely grade a counterfeit rather than this situation. Would be interesting to challenge them on this though, seeing as someone who bought based on their label will have suffered loss.

Pick up. It’s my local coin shop. So he’ll have no problems taking it back. In all fairness he didn’t even check them. He received 55 sovereigns yesterday afternoon and put them aside for me to check this morning.

Some strange opinions here, along with some holier-than-thou attitudes.🤔.
I sold a car last year, £9,500. The bloke turned up with cash when he collected it. Didn't faze me a bit. What's the problem?
Worth bearing in mind that large amounts of cash can be legitimately sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery. With that in mind, most sellers on here ought to accept it. I certainly would.
I've been in full time employment since I left school in the 1980's and have paid income tax in full every week since then. If someone wants to avoid some of that, and has the means to do so, doesn't bother me one bit, good luck to 'em I say.

Royal Mint sets are usually atrociously priced but this isn’t bad on their normal pricing.

To my eyes the dies look the same, just differences in frosting and slight colour.
Both equally beautiful.
