  1. With all these investments at this pace in 2022 and the rising price of gold, it's maybe time to not be so tempted again and make some economy by slowing down the investment, at least for Collection coins (I am aiming for bullion and liquid coins however) Even if I would love a special and nice design such as the WW St George or a nice Pistrucci design for the next GE, especially with the last QEII, I am secretly hoping it will not be iconic enough to pass my turn this year
  2. It seems that the interest for Una doesn't vane , and this is still definitly the winner of the GE collection. However, I don't understand why the 3 G and the GC don't have such interest...I'll see what the next design reserves to us and at what (hefty premium) price (I guess £52/£5500 ? ) ...I hope it will not be a "2" coins design and I am not really fond of the Petition Crown, and my wallet is crying with all these last Jubilee and Memorial coins releases ! I would love to get the WW St George, with QE II, it would be gorgeous but WWyon's designs seem over in this series. I would hope that RM revises their plans Bonne Année, Happy New Year for all the Silver Forum Members and their families !
  3. I got a PF 69 £5 Pattern Sovereign (better than nothing ) and I would also be curious to know the details
  4. 4 coin set available again and 5 coins set SO
  5. What is a price of the 4 coin set ?
  6. I have had offers from TCC a few days ago and as a buyer of the Jubilee 5 coin set, my AM has also offered one memorial to me
  7. I see a limited mintage for the £5 BU (1000)
  8. I know that the designer is...Jody Clark (yes it's surprising as he does not work anymore for the RM a priori) . I can't confirm if the design is the right one, however, if you pay a attention to the reverse, you'll read J.C as designer. So my bet is this is the right (and gorgeous) one
  9. How did you get this information, do you have a source or only rumours. It would be a bombshell as it would be the lowest mintage, even rarer than the 1998 ! I think this is pure speculation for the moment
  10. According to NGC There are 214 PF70 481 PF69 68 PF68 17 PF67 and fewer below
  11. I am not sure that doing a set of 2 coins each year would be the wise for the RM (and expensive for collectors), especially in those incertain times, with a weak demand for modern coins. The WW St George and the dragon would be obvious to me (because I love it ). The question is if the RM would change their mind releasing another WW design after the GC
  12. I love the RP Libertads and I'd think that a RP Sovereign would be gorgeous !
  13. I don't remember there has been a bullion Quintuple Sovereign ever
  14. It's remind me all these discussions about the sooo expensive Una Good times 🙂
  15. They did not offer it on the website but they offered preorders to their customers who registered their interest, raw or slabbed, a few weeks ago
  16. I ordered the £5 BU graded MS70 from The Coin Connection for around £130 on top of the RRP. I think this is an interesting bet as this is the only Matte special 5 Sovereign to date with a relatively low mintage (and probably the only one that'll exist during QE reign) , With the 5 coins proof set, the SOTD Sovereign, The 5 Coin Pattern Piedfort Set, this £5 BU ends up beautifully my 2022 Sovereign collection (except the Piedfort I did not buy)
  17. Very chunky and heavy ! I got my set back from grading and I have 1 PF 69 and 4 PF70, unfortunately, the PF69 is the master coin. The £5 is in a thick slab, so we can't see the thickness. Other coins are in a standard slab, and we can admire the plain edge thickness, even the quarter piedfort is nice to see and far from being ridiculous. I'll post pictures later
  18. I hope this is not the real picture of the upcoming coin, with differences vs the Piedfort Pattern Sovereign coming with the 5 coin set (mintage 70) (such as reeded edge instead of plain edge...) ...it would be really disappointing if the Pattern scarcity is diluted
  19. Hello, Stunning, where did you buy it ?
  20. Yes, this is a big sacrifice. But I prefered to sell other things and reposition myself as I did not want to miss this opportunity for a set that could be symbolic and historical in the years to come. This will be a nice heritage to own for the future and it'll be the icing on the cake if it comes back graded PF70
