You can't go wrong with precious metals either way. Gold goes up but is unaffordable and platinum is cheap and affordable. At one time not long ago platinum was dearer than gold. It may go back that way one day. Best to hold it than not.

They've been selling gold and silver for around 3-4 years in the UK now. The way the prices are going I'd expect them to be selling half sovereigns soon.

Their prices are hit & miss at times as they're usually the highest price then other days much less than most places but never the cheapest.

When I visit Costco in Wembley I have a look at their sovereign prices and take a photo. Just been through my phone to see the prices since last February so I thought I'd list them here. I've added the rough spot price for the day of images taken. Didn't want to add all images, only the latest one.

My IT skills aren't that great, apologies for that, so i've taken a shot of the prices on my work screen.

Pamp made sovereigns with the Indian mint mark, they're not the Royal Mint. Although they were made under licence, still not Royal Mint products.

Was there any actual claim The Oxford Mint have claimed they are connected to the original business or were they just pointing out the history of the past Mint?
