  1. Yeah I know a dodgy seller on ebay that definitely does not highlight milk spots or other faults & has or had a 2oz 10 coin set for sale.
  2. @Seaview Re the 10oz Una bars they are a limited edition of 6100 bars worldwide & they are currently out of stock at RM. 1oz bullion coins appear to be unlimited mintage & previously when RM stated mintages( top secret now) the mintages of 1oz silver Britannia coins often ran into over one hundred thousand coins for a particular year.
  3. If I were you with just one bad coin, I'd do exactly what you intend grade them, there are always people who just want one individual coin(if you decide to sell) or you could as you suggest pick up the one bad coin you need down the line, might be a long wait though with such a low mintage. The simple solution for the RM would be to let customers only send their bad coins in for replacement as certain purchasers will just want a refund. That will give RM a lot of good coins from the sets that come back to send to exiting customers that want replacements. For example if someone that has 1 or 2 bad coins that leaves 8 as replacements to send out. Although IMHO that would be too simple for RM to contemplate.
  4. @Happypanda88 Yeah agree there pal the only one I bought was the sheep proof which I like & still have but the rest are IMHO pretty poor. It's a shame for collectors but even the mighty Perth mint have dropped certain size lunars over the years, very annoying but I suppose it's just business for the mints, collectors are just a nuisance to them lol.
  5. Just received this beauty the 2oz completer which is not a completer lol. I'm very pleased there are no milk spots although the screw cap was loose ffs (how hard is it to tighten a plastic cap) luckily the coin was OK. As a collector I feel gutted for you guys who have got the 10 coin set with problems, this should not be happening to a premium set grrr.
  6. Milk spots ffs what a real shame for you guys that bought the 2oz set. I hope RM come through for you, maybe some of the people who send sets back for a refund RM customer service may cherry pick the good coins from returns & send decent sets back to those that want a replacement. I cannot for the life of me think when RM allegedly inspect the coins before casing them up how those coins with milk spots get through, unless they have been trawling the local blind school again for recruits.
  7. I think you could be right the diameter is 22mm same as existing 1/4oz gold proofs & IMHO for a unique set of QBs they are/were cheap as chips. They will be chunky little beasts. I never ordered a set myself as I have all the QBs I want.
  8. Lol who knows with RM their releases seem very random.
  9. @Zhorro beat me to it @rlingford but for sure there will be a 10 oz bullion version of the completer.
  10. The problem there pal will be you can guarantee at least two of them will not get a 70. If I'd bought that set I'd leave as is & enjoy it.
  11. 4 ish years isn't so bad especially compared to say a lunar set at 12 years to complete.
  12. @CollectorNo1 Lol you can comment on whatever you want pal I was merely interested in your QB collector experience as most of the guys commenting here are collectors of the various QB coins & appreciate them. If you want to learn a little here check out some of the QB threads & no need for apologies we're all here to learn from each other.
  13. You haven't missed anything pal, for some reason RM keep bullion mintages a secret, they used to list for instance 1oz bullion Britannia mintages but now it is a big secret.
  14. How many sets have you got pal, you seem to make a lot of statements re the QB series, as a collector myself I'm not overly concerned about the values now or in the future I view them as works of art. Regarding the standard silver 1oz proofs most cost ยฃ85-ยฃ90 you may get the bull for ยฃ90 but the rest all make a lot more for example recent sale of 1oz dragon made ยฃ251 unicorn made ยฃ200 yale ยฃ199 I don't call that a bad return. Now if you look at some of the 1oz PF 70s they make serious money ditto MS 69 & 70 2oz coins. I don't think they are overated & neither do serious collectors.
  15. I think you could be right 2oz 750 mintage V 1oz 7100 mintage, although as I have mentioned it is a nice stand alone coin which will help support 1oz price a little, the 1oz PF 70 completers are making around the ยฃ500 mark & seem to be holding up at that mainly because non of the big US coin Co's have graded any. I'd expect ยฃ150-ยฃ200 price drop on 1oz completer if the US coin co's grade a ton of them. Maybe they didn't manage to get any lol.
  16. That's interesting I've just looked at my order status & it says order completed & dispatched, so we'll see in a day or two if 2oz completer that's not a completer appears.
  17. No its just pot luck, as someone mentioned ALWAYS look on RM website on a Monday morning 9- 9.15 am any later & anything of interest to real collectors is gone.
  18. Just buy it now pal there won't be any left by lunchtime.
  19. Give Royal mint their due they are milking the success of the Queens beast series to death, I have to say as a collector it is IMHO the best modern collector series in the world by far. Just bought the 2oz silver QB completer which isn't a completer lol, its a stand alone coin for anyone who hasn't got a full set or just likes the coin.
  20. RM are milking the completer coins to death IMHO. Nice stand alone coin though for anyone who hasn't got the complete sets of 10
  21. Full set of 2oz NGC QBs including elusive greyhound I got yesterday.
  22. Just got this beauty ๐Ÿ˜ƒ, set now finished a big thank you to @Lindeman & @Fivepoundfred for their help sourcing this elusive & rare beast.
