Refund arrived - why was it so difficult? and why did they have my money for 9 months?

Well there's a surprise, a call this morning at 9 minutes past 9 promising a full refund lol. 🤦‍♀️

We’ll 3 months on and still no refund from the Royal Mint, despite several calls and email.
7 days notice before court action sent this evening. 😬

I finally called them this week and asked where it was - they had no idea. Apparently a team leader was going to call me ..... still waiting.

My coins are still in “open orders”, so it seems pretty obvious they have no intention of informing me the coins aren’t coming.
I think it’s a pretty bad show really.

Email response from the Mint on 05 Jul: "This item is being minted nest week week ending 14/07/23 and will be sent out the following week we apologise for the delay with this order."
I'm guessing that was a lie...

It's difficult to get anything, other than marginally above spot, past the TSF price police. 🙂

I think I'll be waiting for the Bullion too. My final coronation coin arrived yesterday, the 1Kg Silver, and I feel like I'm done for the moment.
One question I've been wondering is should I get the 2oz Gold and 1Kg silver graded? 
I'm not into graded coins but feel these are worthy, but at the same time I think presentation has a lot of pleasure, esp. The Silver packaging. If feels as though it's just commoditised putting it into a plastic NGC holder. 
I know it doesn't add value but having 003 of 200 is cool but is lost in an NGC holder.
