Is it just me or is this the most bloody awful interpretation of Britannia?

Britannia, the female personification of the British Isles, has featured on every printed Bank of England note. This is the earliest example in our collection. She holds a shield and olive branch and watches over a 'bank of money', symbolising the wealth of the nation.
    (Thanks to Google.)
looks like a gay Roman centurion about to lick an ice cream!  Wokeism gone wrong or what? and this on International Womens Day. Royal Mint and Marie-Alice Harel lost the plot and should be ashamed of themselves!

The real value of gold it's the one in the now. The value of everything it's the amount of money people are willing to pay to have that thing. The value of money it's the energy, time and ideas people use and consume to create other goods that are useful for other peoples that again are doing same thing.
As Seykota said: "The price of an ounce of gold never changes. It always sells for exactly an ounce of gold".

So what is the real value of gold? ever since I took an interest in owning "real money" all I have seen is it being valued by "fake fiat money" money that is described as worthless i.o.u's, constantly devalued by inflation, QE etc etc so why do we come back to valuing gold this way? spot is now 1666 but given the above what does that actually mean?
So what is the answer according to all the knowledgeable folk bandying around these figures connected to gold, I would realy realy like to know 🤔🤔

danieldorkins reacted to GoldCore in Gold: A Sustainable Investment
In 2023 gold demand was the highest on record at 4,899t. The increased desire to own gold should not be a surprise, after all gold has been shown to act as a portfolio preserver in times of economic, geopolitical and financial distress. And we are certainly in those times right now.
But we also find ourselves in concerning, environmental times. It is incumbent upon us to consider the impact of our investments on the wider landscape. Gold has been around for millenia but continues to step up to the plate when it comes to meeting investors’ needs and concerns, both in terms of portfolio preservation and sustainable investing.
Sustainability is taken very seriously by the gold industry, across the supply chain. The Responsible Gold Mining Principles address all the material ESG risks associated with gold mining. And further up the supply chain all LBMA accredited refiners have to follow the Responsible Gold Guidance to ensure that they have appropriate responsible sourcing procedures in place.
No bullion dealer worth their salt will be sourcing newly refined bars or coins that haven’t come from an LBMA accredited refiner or mint. So make sure you look out for that when buying gold bullion. It is worth noting however that ‘grandfathered gold’, the gold refined before 2012 that is held in bullion bank vaults, central bank vaults, exchanges, is not required to have a determination of origin.
It takes very little energy to keep gold (it does not require certain storage conditions) or to trade it. It is not as if once traded it is consumed, instead it will always exist. For example, the American Eagle you bought last week might not be from newly mined gold. Instead it might be one of the first released in 1986 and it could contain gold from hundreds of years prior.
Jim Rogers and his Survival Plan for the coming Debt Collapse
The fact that we are talking about a product that once mined will last thousands of years indicates that it is a sustainable investment. This is because gold is rarely destroyed and so all of the gold ever mined still exists today. And it exists in its original form – as gold – and so is still as investable and as practical as it was when it was originally mined.
Gold has always been recycled, and in the modern age recycled gold is becoming increasingly important. Overall demand for gold  was so high in 2023 that recycled gold supply climbed by 9%. Over 25% of gold bought this year will have come from a recycled source, this is significant given it is over 90% less carbon intensive than sourcing mined gold.
It is rare in this day and age to point to a thousand year old asset that takes such little energy to preserve but instead does all the preserving for you.
This article was published this week in Phoenix Magazine’s Sustainable Investing feature, which GoldCore was proud to sponsor.

Amen, and it will get there, but what will the world look like when that happens?

Will we be surrounded by abandoned cars and houses falling apart because people can't afford upkeep etc?
This is the fear I have that when this "moons" the world will have gone to sh**

(By moons, I mean that relatively everything else has gone down the drain)

A lot of what AJ says is BS or spun from his own personal worldview (which earned him a lot of enemies) but the things you highlighted are 'true' or a close approximation of the truth. I've posted the 'Gay Frogs' video here before and while Alex is correct, he's correct for a different reason. The frogs aren't turning gay, they are changing sex due to the hormones and chemicals in the water and wider environment. The big question then becomes if this can happen to frogs can it happen to other animals, what about humans?
We notice the contaminants in the water flowing into US households and UK households. The USA is nuts, a smorgasbord or prescription medications including a heavy concentration of oestrogen, other hormones and mood regulators given to teenagers and those with mental issues. Weird how the previous generations didn't have this whole LGBTQ mantra or such a high prevalence of mental illness and cancers (check out 'Cancer Alley' in the USA or Europe, India, China). The truth is the largest sectors of our economies - including heavy industry and healthcare - have polluted our environment to a scandalous extent. Combined with a sedentary lifestyle, lesser free income and poor nutrition, we're all going to end up as gay frogs with cancer in our uterus, diabetes and mental illness
There's quite a few globalists who want us to end up in that position so that we're easier to control. The last thing the western governments want is a population of mostly fit, healthy and educated people who can see what our national and international governing bodies are promoting, and who have enough drive and energy to do something about it. We are to be sheep and baaaa on command with compelled speech and thought crimes
If we were all free, independent thinkers, we would demand to be paid in money like GOLD as opposed to currency. We would demand strong borders and we'd have less love for bonds, stock markets, draconian laws and expansionary monetary policies. Without the gay frogs and the environmental contaminants, none of the Democrats in the USA, Hamza Yousef, Rishi Sunak, Leo Varadkar, etc, would have jobs. They are incentivised to open our borders, make us weak, print our currency to infinity and destroy our moral fabric to enable their own sick visions of national and global governance. We should take what we can out of their system while we still have a choice in the matter:

Shame silver has been hammered lately but gold is still in rude health

He was actually French but from the above quote not sure what he would have been saying, I've been trying for 50 odd years to understand!

I hate liars, thieves and deceivers, so I'm regularly triggered by claims about crypto and telekinesis. Not a crypto rant but you are 100% correct. If BTC was a perfect entity, or if any crypto was perfect, they would price everything in crypto, not price crypto in fiat. It shows the hypocrisy and the true intentions of those in crypto - make a boatload of fake magic internet money, exchange it for what they consider to be REAL money (fiat) then become rich. Holding a bunch of crypto doesn't make you rich, you need fiat and/or gold and hard assets. Imagine the nerve it takes to call a make believe digital currency that has zero tactile presence in the material world, "hard money". It's so soft you could sleep with the entire world's supply under your mattress. Try doing that with gold, silver or fiat
