When a punt pays off, all purchased at spot or under with the exception of the Red Arrows 2oz which I paid £50 cause I wanted it. Unfortunately some will have to go as had to buy a new car today. Expect a sales thread at weekend.

That's superb , I buy any gold coins with planes on I can afford regardless of gold content, not yet got a 1/10th with that theme and under £200 bargain I think. Once you get away from Brits, maples , Phillys etc you expect a premium on 1/10ths but as I've said many a time I firmly believe that premium holds up over the long term. Of course that could change but who knows buy them if you like them.

Well as a fellow collector of 1/10th coins of this is one you want you just got to bite the bullet. They command an insane premium and that's a fair price. One of those coins that forgot the spot price , for all it's a bullion coin it's a high numastic value. I hope mine will still be in a box when I shuffle off this mortal coil

Lots of good advice, I'm similar in that I'm looking to hold long term, so if it's in the budget any gold coins I can get at spot that I like I scoop I'm only currently buying silver I like all my 1oz.silver coins and bars are different with a few exceptions ie Dragon coins from Perth mint I've the complete run to date and I have a soft spot for Kookaburra coins, otherwise it's hand poured stuff from BYB, Silver Angel,.MOX, Liquid Metals and St Bees, that's the collector urge in me. I collect most fractional gold coins from Iranian to 1/10th Brits and 1/4 sovereigns. All that said if I was purely stacking for a pension with no urge to collect them would be sovereigns all the way.

Tbf you need a few good deals as a 1/10tj gold collector....make up for the ones you pay insane premium's on. 😆

Be surprised mate, I've a proof 1/10th Croc that I got on here for a bonkers good price, bullion price in fact , one of my rounds is bullion but still in omp with receipt from airport in Abu Dhabi I was rather chuffed to pay less for it than original purchase price even though gold was up on recorded date!

Got to have a Panda just my opinion of course, but then I like to keep coins as they arrive with me so no tube storage to worry about, those already in caps I sometimes upgrade but if there's a sniff of mint packaging or old receipts etc they stay in that.

I went looking for a 2017 proof 1 Oz silver Krugerrand today , thinking of selling mine, lots advertising as proof but close up of COA shows uncirculated.

I'm back to buying just silver I like to keep for long term , bars, hand poured stuff , the vat and premium is putting me off at the moment, much as Brits at £22 and a 1 kilo bar at £600 are just 2 of the good deals on here today and a reflection of the drop in spot.

Blimey that's beyond optimistic! I saw 3 of these on the saleroom a few weeks ago. I stopped at £30 a bar Inc fees went way beyond that!
