Got my 2-coin set today.  Just magnificent!  The design and detail are great.  There’s even a spray of bubbles coming off the waves.  Nicely done.  Love the side-by-side contrast of the two proof finishes.

Sad indeed.  I’m finding that often the dealers are the way to go.  However, being in the U.S., I prefer buying from the RM whenever possible because they deduct the VAT from the cost.

I'm from Canada and I got the Royal Mint email this morning at 4:23AM ET.

Honestly friend, nobody in the UK is being given favourable treatment by the RM.
Every link seems to take you a different selection, finding stuff is difficult and the e-mail usually arrives after the thing you want is sold out.
I missed out on the 2-coin set as the RM decided today was the day they needed me to submit personal documents before I could buy anything (despite having an account manager) and then didn't get round to reviewing them.

I love the design!  Very modern.  I like how the circularity of the helmet continues through to the wave.  Nice!

I do not dislike the design.  The series is what it is.  I ordered the two coin set.  However, this may be my last TB (and Royal Monarchs) purchase because I’m just tired of the dragged out series.

To all of you with damaged coins (and I may be one of them).  I would suggest spending a little more and buying from a dealer.  Ask the dealer to inspect the coin before sending it out to you.  As an alternative, buy a coin that has been slabbed and graded.  You simply cannot trust the Royal Mint to send you a quality product.

John Mercanti is a marketed creation.  He designs a lot of coins, but not many would be considered great IMO.  It’s all marketing.  Everywhere you turn here in the U.S., another Mercanti coin pops up.  He is saturating the market.  Just my opinion.

Well, I live on the other side of the world, and it does take a few weeks to get here after shipment.  It was great when the RM used DHL or UPS to send my coins when there was the problem with the Royal Mail.  Maybe I will just fly to Cardiff and drive to the RM to pick up my SOTD.  Yes, it's THAT important!

That's easy!  It's because of the RM's elaborate and complex QC program.  Every single coin is individually inspected for hours before approval to send to collectors.

I ordered my usual 2 bars.  My wife loves to throw these at me (just to test my reflexes, of course).  I'm getting pretty good at evading her bullet throws - almost all of the time.  This year, I hope for improvement in my quest to evade all of her throws.  Getting tougher as I get older!  😭

The Morgan Le Fay is available on the RM website today.  I ordered the 2 oz. silver to complete my collection of the three coins.
I agree that the RM is issuing way too many coins.  Collectors' wallets are not bottomless!
