Some of those 90s sovs and halves ended up with very low mintages and so prices can be surprising.
A quick check on the coin cabinet prior results and the PR70 Sov at/around £1k doesn't look out of place given £925 was achieved and then there would have been +7.2% in BP + VAT so an all in cost of £991. Raw examples traded around the £600-650 mark in the same auction.
The price reference for the 1/2 is a bit stale now at 12 months old but seemingly lower premium at £290 hammer price in March 2022.

I’ve sold both earlier in the year, around £300 for the half and £650 for the full. Prices do fluctuate but this is what I’d expect to get if I sold them again.

a full 1995 PF70 goes for 1000 gbp at the moment. To me is crazy money, but that's what the market is paying. Definitely not 1600 tho.
I m not following halves, but i guess 450 would be a reasonable price.

    Through the generations...Vic to George.
Has these arrive more than a few days ago but only now time to get some family happy snaps. Also my first Sydney Mint sov which I was quite chuffed with.
Thanks to @ShlomoGoldberg a member of TSF and Silver Stackers in Aust for these lovely additions to my sov stack.

Also purchased from Shlomo, this delightful sov holder. Naturally some wear on the exterior due to age, but the opening clip and internal spring both still solid and working...I thought, well if you are going to stack sov's, why not have a sov holder too.

My personal opinion is all the 2022 sovereigns will do exceptionally well over the next 5-10 years and then shine brightly for the next 200 years

Price wise for a MS69 £1,200 ish.  I just picked a 2019i for a steal on here a few days ago, not as scarce but still a gem.

From what I learnt from some sources in India, most of the 2020 India Sovereigns have been held back for a couple years because of some gold deposit scheme.  Sort of like an institution retaining the physical gold on behalf of (bulk?) purchasers.  These coins will apparently be more freely available for sale in a few years once the deposit scheme ends.
IMO it’s a reasonable explanation for why they seem scarce right now.  Don’t hold me to this though. 🙂

There'd be a few sov collectors out up until today thinking their 1911 sov collection was complete....now there'll have to go and fine a few more variations for the set. 😫

    Thank you @LawrenceChard
Either here or elsewhere I have seen an “expert” comment that Sovereign research has all been done / nothing else left to find.  Nice discoveries like this highlight why Sovereigns are such a wonderful coin to collect and reward those with attention to detail.

    Hello from Canberra, Australia.
Like many, I like the biggest chunks of gold at the lowest prices possible. In reality I stick mainly to 1/10 gold coins & sovereigns, particularly Australian sovereigns.
For something a little different, I have a penchant for QE II sovereigns in BU & proof & am eagerly awaiting the newly released 2022.
I'm looking forward to trading with other collectors & stackers here & learning more about the hobby from a British & European perspective.

Easy, If anyone knows a London political journo, just ask them(next time they attend a Boris J press conferance) "Mr Johnson, can you answer one of the following two questions for me...1) What is the total mintage of gold sovereigns for all types, sizes and by year or 2) how many secret parties did you host for the Tories when we were all in lockdown?"...One or other question thanks.
Boris: "I'll have the information on the gold sov's to you by close of the business today".
