Silver Dragon had a look at this in his latest vid, I wonder if the chips explain the crazy SE premiums that come around sometimes, they must have a sliver of gold in em 😉

Received my beautiful new addition to the Nautical series, the new 2023, courtesy of Silver Trader.
Could not agree more with @AgD absolutely stunning series. Although I've still not plucked up the courage to take them out of their OMP!
Wish the 2017 packaging didn't have that orange peel textured finish to it though.
Hmmmm still can't pick my favourite one.....maybe the Mayflower or perhaps the USS Constitution 🤔

I do not recommend removing the tarnishing in any way!
Toned/tarnished coins have premium now in North America.
So keep them as is, and sell them as is even with toning.

How little gold I have left! 😢 With a few extra bills to pay and another holiday the wife is insisting we take this year my gold stack is looking a bit sorry for itself! Sold 2 Sovereigns and a few other smaller pieces recently.

I assume you are referring to the Silver American Eagle.  1986 was the first year they minted the bullion coin.  The bullion coin was minted in Philadelphia, the proof coin was minted in San Fransisco.   The first time the coin was minted at West Point was in 1995.

To be honest, although I'm Canadian but I think First Majestic made a mistake by forming this new mint.
The market if over saturated with mints. And there is nothing special about those silver bars on their website! Nor the prices are attractive........
They need to be more creative by creating something new and unique, for example they need to look at how Scottsdale Mint makes their products (which in my opinion is number one private mint out there when it comes to creativity).

Just opened my 5oz and I think there's something in the background field, which is annoying.
    Send back?

Looking at the rest of the coin, you can also see where the metal didn't fill the edge lettering completely in a few places. Not really a problem in my eyes:

Also, while looking at the rest of the coin, is this normal?
