Had my coins back from NGC. I sent in 29 coins,  28 of which obtained the top grade. Spot the lonely PF69!
I'm extremely happy and relieved, I was expecting a few PF70 but not 28 of them 🤣

Got one of my bucket list coins this week, arrived this morning
1996 Double Sovereign, just 22 of these in PF70UC, the lowest mintage of the Maklouf doubles and the final year (no doubles in 97)
 
Also picked up a couple of proof baby brits that arrived today, was only really after the 2003 but took them both as they were reasonably priced
 
Quite pleased with the condition

It's the kind of thing that once you've done it once, subsequent submissions will be easy and stress free, as you know what to expect at each stage.

NGC website states that they use 5x magnification. It's actually quite low a magnification, and now they have hi res images like PCGS I doubt if 5x is still the standard. They could probably spot more imperfection with those images than with the loupe.
