  1. I think it's a mistake that many make before they really start stacking, that bars are always cheaper than coins. Good that you already found all the other options. 👍
  2. When reading statements as "Gold will go to 100K " maybe people should first ask the question who can still buy this at that price?? And if the answer is: " Almost nobody," you know this will never happen. On the other hand, if we have a hyper inflation that puts a zero after our money bills every so many weeks, the 100K is possible but how will this 100K compare with the value today ??? Video's like that are just clickbait and in my eyes also dangerous to lure people in who thinks they will be millionaires or billionaires in a few months and maybe spend money they don't have ...
  3. @GoldFort Is there a specific reason you want bars and no coins or rounds ? Because if you want to get your stack as cheap as possible you must just look at what you can buy at the cheapest price at that moment and not only look at one option.
  4. Very nice, now I am thinking about it, something that every "Gold bug" should have in his stack/ collection. I hope I will have the chance to get one soon.
  5. A short story from my LCS. They almost never have 1 kg ( second hand ) silver bars because the demand is so high that once they are in, a few hours or the next day they are sold again. Except one 1 kg colored coin from the Perth Mint, a Lunar series. Nobody was interested in it for weeks while he was selling it at the same premium of the "normal" silver kg bars/ coins. At the end it went to the melting pot ...
  6. That's a beautiful coin indeed. For me, I don't see it as a real colored coin, but on the other hand I also don't see it as a "coin" but as a piece of art ...
  7. Colored coins are not really my thing, I have one from the Lunar series, Year of the Chicken. The reason I don't like them is because for me, gold and silver coins are still seen as money and not as a gimmick. But it's maybe a good idea if @Nortypeter would post some pictures of his colored and antiqued coins he likes a lot.
  8. Very impressive ! I really like the Scotsdale mint bar but the coins are all just beautiful ...
  9. And that for a new coin, tell us, what's the story with this coin that you will never want to sell it ??
  10. So what means the LD ? That's why I was wondering that it was a special edition or just a BU coin. By the way, I am also a big Panda coin fan, started in 2013 but I would not mind getting some older years.
  11. This one looks just great, certainly for such an older coin. If you compare it against the older Kooks, this one wins big time. Is it just the normal BU coin or a special edition ?
  12. That's what I call a beautiful coin ! Both sides just look great. I can understand your choice.
  13. https://www.leuchtturm.com/round-capsules-ultra-801216.html Hope this helps you. 🙂
  14. To answer on your question about capsules. If the company would have an official reseller in the EU, I would go for Air-tites but their shipping cost is just crazy and than you have to pay import taxes and vat on it so I have chosen the second option. Leuchtturm has a wide range of capsules, also special ones who have a product that guarantees at least 15 years against tarnishing. They also have good prices and low shipping cost.
  15. Buying a LMU coin cost in Euro around 310, a Sovereign is less than 400 euro and on both you pay very low premiums. So even if you have a little budget, just safe some money till you can buy one of those coins. If you are in a position that even 300 euro is a goal that can not be reached, I think PM's are at the moment nothing for you.
  16. Why we have to break it ? So the world can collapse in chaos and you hope to be one of the lucky survivors who has chosen the right follow up currency ? If you get intrest on your gold account/ "Kinesis" you also create a sort of inflation. Not one system in the world will ever work when you can not create more of it. What is needed is a good regulation that is done correct and that is the problem we have now. Like in the EU, the inflation is set on 2% but even when it is 7% now, the money creation is not stopping and the intrest rate is not raised like it should be ...
  17. Thx for the info. But 100000% nothing for me, gold you own physical or not. Believing in companies who will keep it for you and do nothing with it in the meantime and even pay you a sort of intrest ... 🤔
  18. 100% correct, owing "digital" gold is even worse than owing a Goldback ... With the Goldback you have at least a nice plastic bill to look at. 😆
  19. What is "Kinesis" and what's the difference with fiat or lets' say Goldbacks ? Interesting at least.
  20. Fully agree with that. Except the crazy premium on it what makes it fiat money in my eyes it's even more difficult to check that it is real than our normal money ... A gimmick that I hope will soon be gone, nothing more. And I still wonder how much the cost is to extract the gold in it again because with such extremely low quantities I think with most lower bills the price of extraction will be higher what makes the purpose of having gold also go fully away !
  21. In the Turkish news you will probably see lines and lines of "good" Turks doing everything for their country like selling all their gold to support the dictator, I mean President ... In reality, those lines were people buying gold ... 🤣
  22. I don't consider "The year of the ... series " as a low premium coin. Last week I ordered the Year of the tiger and they did cost 8 euro a piece more than the lowest BU coin, so "low" premium ? They should be perfect in my view but good for you that you don't see it as a problem.
