  1. Yep, that horrible feeling when it says processing payment just to take you back to the proceed to payment page in your basket. It's so shoddy, as if they don't have enough money to invest in a proper checkout system that reserves coins in your basket and allows you a bit of time to checkout! Along with all the ongoing QC issues I'm seriously considering jacking in buying anything from RM
  2. You missed the "my coins disappeared from my basket whilst I was trying to pay" moan - yep, both my 2oz and 5oz silvers gone whilst I was jumping through the new security confirmation hoops set up by my blinking bank. Very annoying especially as I was right at the front of the queue
  3. Been thinking along similar lines - try for gold as silver proofs seems to have so many issues. Bl**dy expensive though and usually all the gold proofs gone by the time I get to the front of the queue
  4. Yep - the return for refund/replace lottery! RM did a restrike of my quartered arms - at least that's what they told me - but I think only because the dings in it were in the same place as another forum member so it looked like some grit had got onto the die This pinholes in frosting are very annoying - I can only really see them under magnification but I know they're there which just detracts from the enjoyment
  5. My capsule was open but I shut it before seeing this post so no images - defo add me to list of those who received an open capsule
  6. I had to use mole grips to get my Platinum Jubilee capsule open so they definitely do lock properly of closed in the first place - I reckon RM just pop the capsule together and don't bother twisting shut fully
  7. Missing bits of frosting on my Protrait and also my Platinum Jubille 2oz silver proof - very small so was just gonna take it on the chin (no pun intended) My Portrait capsule was also open
  8. Nope - I was hoping to buy the lot and then sell at ludicrous markups
  9. £685 on Chards https://www.chards.co.uk/2021-great-engravers-gothic-crown-2-ounce-silver-proof-coin/16083?utm_source=stock-alert-email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=stock_alert
  10. Interesting ... I wonder what insights they have regarding crypto
  11. Yep, the continuity is automatic but what I meant was forum members who got a continuity AND a single quartered arms haven't been offered the option to buy another portrait - presumably RM have decided that they're already getting a continuity portrait so shouldn't be offered a second one. The result is there's an amount of unallocated portraits which weren't put up for grabs in the Monday morning bun fight - where dd they go?
  12. Except a fair few forum members got continuity AND a single quartered arms coin but didn't get the option of buying the portrait - so there are coins unaccounted for Also, if portraits are offered to those who bought the single quartered arms why bother with a continuity option?
  13. Did they go up "No Longer Available"? Don't tell me I missed a non-queue launch due to having a shower! Arrrgggghhhh
  14. ... and I was actually really looking forward to the Monday morning bun fight! Really gets the adrenaline going
  15. Likewise, which begs the question - where have the 2oz silvers gone that weren't offered to those who had managed to snag 2 quartered arms but were now only getting the single continuation coin?
  16. I can see similar patches under my magnifying glass on my platinum jubilee 2oz silver proof but they seemed to disappear when I turned the coin 90 degrees
  17. I think the damage was definitely during minting - there's another forum member with exactly the same ding which does sort of indicate some contamination of the press Do NGC et al really ignore minting defects for grading? I never knew that but then again I'm a relative newbie
  18. Just had a call from RM and they've said they do restrikes in exceptional circumstances and after looking at my photos they want me to send my coin in for inspection and that they'll do a restrike if they think the damage warrants it. I'm still not 100% confident but hats off to the Customer Services guy who took it on himself to take it further after giving me incorrect info yesterday regarding restrikes - he did apologise a few times during our conversation.
  19. At the mo' keep because they're not guaranteeing a replacement. I've sent in photos and asked them about QA and how many defective coins will trigger another mint run - but seeing as they haven't finished minting all the coins I'm going to have a moan at them and push for an answer as to why replacement coins can't be minted at the same time. Of course, any replacement could be even worse
