Well I heard from a very reputable source.Just wanted to double check as you guys are closer to this.I would not be surprised if more mint would follow.Perth mint still delays all the lunar coins.They were due out about a month ago.

Is it true that the royal mint has melted down 200k 1oz britannias just to put charles on it?

The Royal mint of Australia already has a mock up effigy of Charles.It could have been ready for a while.They also said the Charles coins are coming when the 2023 coins are finished which is around Sep next year.Why would they change anything before that? It would cost them-or any other mint for that matter-lots of money.

I dont think its a really good system by the mint.How would you know if your order is really cancelled?How long is the so called " contract" is in place? You have to keep money in that account all the time just to cover the "purchase" when the mint decides they are ready for you order. I would not order from them a thing.This is just not right. I think the perth mint has lost members here for smaller issues...just saying..

Spot is always the starting point.You could have a coin which worth a lot in the book but if you take that coin to a dealer more than likely you will only get spot.

I dont know how economical is for you to ship a couple of oz of coins across the globe. If seller fills out the papers "properly" there would be problems at customs.

Those 1/2oz buttons are very hard to find so if you see any regardless of premium I would grab it.You might never see another one again.Keep in mind that here in ozland some dealers dont wanna deal with vintage bullion and all gets melted down + the fact that people dont wanna sell it and just sit on it so hardly any surfaces.Most vintage stuff are very well "hidden".
