Can we see a picture of the coin?  If the seller thought it was a fake, the price of £300 would seem like others also thought it was a fake.
The problem with "signed for" delivery is that it merely highlights that the item may contain something worth stealing - and there is no extra security around its transit.  It records an item going into the postal system and hopefully the delivery of the item - that is all.  With Special Delivery an item is tracked throughout its postal journey and there is a lot more security regarding it handling.

I think that's par for the course with Scottsdale stuff. I've had a couple in tha past and just removed the cardboard - it adds nothing and stops you seeing the reverse.
If there aren't any cheaper around I'll likely get one from them, but would rather shop elsewhere.

I just bought one of them from Atkinsons, one thing to note is that it comes in a capsule attached to cardboard with the scottsdale logo printed on it, so you can't see the back unless you remove it from the cardboard.

Look at the coin - it is absolute trash - complete tat.
The definition is very poor - compare it with a real coin. Look at the hair of the Queen - the lines on the face. Everything is wrong. Blow the images up - look at how tatty the lettering is on the fake coin.

Atkinsons (https://atkinsonsbullion.com/sell-to-us/silver-coins) buy at a little above spot but you can get a better price here on the forum.

🙁 Hate all these coins swishing around for sale everywhere that are obviously from sets. Even worse, proof coins with no box or coa🫢 you do see a lot of the 97 split sets up for sale, seem to take a while to sell as they are not particularly wanted.
I do have 97 full set, yes I really only wanted the main one, but am happy with the set. Keep them together, display as they should be .. together!😁

    Hi all,
I would like to share my experience with BullionByPost as they were the last to try.I haven't had much luck in the past trying to get the best condition for the coins I want to be in top condition.
I sent them an email first, asking about the condition of their 2022 gold buffalo.I told them that I had bad experience with other online bullion dealers, that coins which were described as mint state were drilled, acid tested...
They said there can be marks occasionally in the Buffalo coins ,but they certainly wouldn't sell a coin that had been drilled or acid tested.
I have tried to find a buffalo here on thesilverforum to buy but I got only one offer for a Buffalo that was badly scratched and at same price BullionByPost had on stock.
Thinking that I can't get a worse condition than the one offered on thesilverforum I went ahead and placed an order for a 2022 mint state gold Buffalo from BullionByPost.
To my surprise, the coin arrived in a perfect fit capsule and couldn't believe that I finally got a top condition gold Buffalo.I'm not an expert but seems to be an MS69.
I'm very happy with the condition of the gold buffalo and that finally, with the pre 1942 gold indians, the family is reunited.
    Thank you very much BullionByPost.

The bid price now is more expensive than other brands from real shops, ebay makes no sense.

Personally I feel the bars in the images look a little off to me and £99 is certainly too good to be true.
